Rai wasn't aware of the consequences Xavier was blackmailed but these two surely knew the consequences.

Yes this is obviously stalling for time. But we can at least get some Character Development out of it.

Ajay: I mean, being a musician doesn't pay much...and piracy is really the only option I have.

Beat: It pays that badly? I guess I can't fault you for being in a position where you can't economically support yourself.

Ajay: *looks at Nix, knowingly* What, and miss out on the action? Please. I recognize him...he started being the mole for this group, to help Norma catch Beat...and even yet, with his help, Beat can't be caught. I must know more.

I'm thinking he's just very perceptive, and he saw him when he was Jester back that night, and I was thinking he's seen him around back when he only was Admiral and not parading around as anything else. Also, he just figured it out, he didn't know it from someone.

"Well, then you two have made your choice. Once you do this, you'll be labeled pirates for life. You do understand what I'm saying, right?"

Ajay: Are you kidding? I won't be there. The 'mysterious renegade' will, if you catch my drift.

Beat: Mysterious renegade. Right. But curious why you chose to hold a heist in the same place where your "girlfriend" was watching a play.

Not that she was enjoying it much.

Ajay: *music stops abruptly* I...don't know what you're talking about, her being my "girlfriend". I'm simply applying some misdirection tactics so that we can pirate successfully.

"Oh? Did she hit a wrong cord there?" Yep, he definately liked her.

Xavier: 'Sup, everyone?

Beat: Notice the semi-ironic emphasis on girlfriend. But if you're aware of why Bates is chasing us you surely now how much your betrayal will hurt her.

Honestly she just didn't like the idea of traitors on either side. And she wasn't letting go of the possibility that there was a traitor in this group.

Beat: There you are Xavier.

She was both delighted and depressed by that statement. Is there any way I could just tell him to leave? Scare him out?
