I wonder if siessel will play any role or just cameo
He probably won't show up.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Speaking of people showing up...
Anyone still hoping for other characters from the two series appearing in some shape or form? Part of me doubts that'll be happening since the game takes place in a different world (and the Wright and Layton duos seem to be the only non- Original Generation characters present so far), yet another part of me is still crossing fingers for Emmy, Edgeworth, Inspector Chelmey, or Detective Gumshoe to make an appearance.

Eh.Actually there are screenshots on the game's website that shows that Chelmy and Barton will be appearing in at least Layton's section of the prologue.
Ciessel does show up... I can't just say how without it being a spoiler.
The game gets its own Interrogation and Cornered themes. A sample of the game's Cornered theme begins around 0:45.

^Looks fantastic. I like the mixing of courtroom and "which of these four" puzzle.
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - BocajThe fact that he's in the game at all is kind of a spoiler in itself. Thanks for that, by the way.
*Fangasm*
I've heard so many different versions I'm confused now. Is this going to reach western shores or not? pleaseletitpleaseletitpleaseletit!
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."It'll be coming to the West, just give it a year or so. There's a link confirming a Western release a few pages back.
Sweet! I really want to pick up a 3DS, and this game is one of the reasons.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."(about Siessel) the fact that hes on the cover sorta downplays on that while ironically making it a bigger spoiler
I drink 17 cups of coffee in court.I think that's actually supposed to be the witch's familiar. The fact that he looks like Sissel is just a Shout-Out.
I suppose this is the release trailer.
Game's out in Japan! Here's a spoiler-free review: http://ho-lingnojikenbo.blogspot.jp/2012/12/to-switch-witch.html
Minor spoilery fun facts:
- Two other Layton characters make an appearance
- Miles Edgeworth does make an appearance
- The game is split into 11 chapters, just like the Layton games
- Layton actually does prosecute
- Layton's journal entries and mystery list is back too
Pursuit Theme - Casting The Magic
Awesome....
Yes.
Now for the long wait for the localization's release...
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."To quote my brother when I sent him that: "I'm throwing money at the screen and nothing is happening!"
"Yup. That tasted purple."Hey, you found it! AWESOME!
Promo soundtrack available on Court Records. With a bit more lurking, I also discovered more soundtracks on Nico Nico. Mob Interrogation. Objection theme. Trial victory. ENDING THEME. If you have an account there, check it out.
The game itself has a sound test, and it has 68 tracks listed.
I am very excite.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! Is this real life?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyIs this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality...
Bohemian Rhapsody aside, this is AWESOME news. I'm so glad you pulled through, Level 5.
Apparently this game's using the 5-strikes thing from the first game.
