The MMO itself has been generic when I played builds at E3 and Comic Con, but this trailer is high on the HSQ.

I might sound like an idiot, but whatever.

Someone please tell me who the giant is, as I don't recall seeing her before.

That's awesome machinima, butthe fact that every good trailer for DCUO features no gameplay and no characters who will actually be playable doesn't fill me with hope for the game.

That looks too awesome, they could make a whole movie with CGI that good.

Also, really digging the future armour.

Also, Black Adam's punches should've harmed Supes. Oh well, potato, potawto.

also, who else expected Brainiac at the end of that fight scene? I thought it was going to be Darkseid.

And if this is a massive online thing, will it work like City of Heroes or something? I mean not every can be Captain Marvel.

Nobody can be Captain Marvel. You play as an original character you create, with DC heroes and villains as NP Cs.

They really did get across how powerful Black Adam was, didn't they?

Heard about it Brian Clevinger's site, and I agree with him about "jaded and cold to humanity Superman" being annoying and pretty overplayed. And I'm not even a Superman fan.

On the other hand...

HOLY SHIT THIS IS FRIGGIN' AWESOME! WHEN DOES IT COME OUT SO I CAN BUY A PC IN TIME?!?!?!?

I wonder if knowing who every last character was in that trailer makes me a nerd of sorts.

He's wrong. Superman is recharging his power with sunlight. He can be killed if he expends it all (see Doomsday).

I would have said that he was using his fear gas to screw with the P Cs' heads, making him only seem like he was a giant.

Then I saw him actually use the gas while a giant, turning him into a flock of bats. So...I have no idea what they've done to the Scarecrow, but why they've done it seems clear to me.

I'm just thinking DCU Online is incredibly generic.

I think the cutscene they released looks amazing... but do I really think this game is going to be any better than City of Heroes or Champions Online? Not really.

^^^^^ What I meant was the whole "jaded Superman's self imposed exile from humanity" think that people use way to often.

superman wasn't in an exile, he was charging his batteries

lex says so in the beggining of the trailer

edit: ok, he was in an exile, but he still was drained and need a recharge

Ok, just saw a couple of trailers, it looks to have a nice art style, but the gameplay looks meh.

So, can anyone explain me how the systems work? I must admit, I'm biased against MM Os, but while I may not play it, I would be interested in seeing the developers take some liberties from the staples of the genre since it's a superhero MMO.

Yeah, I know there were City of Heroes and Champions Online before, but from what I know (not that much, I admit) they looked like traditional MM Os with a superhero skin.

It's a bit irksome to see Batman taken out so easily. Especially when you consider what he's done in the comics recently. . .
