Seems that way. We're erring on the side of caution though and cleaning up a fair few things while the appeal goes through.

Considering that a) the alternative is to have the forums nuked, and b) a majority of those pages seem to come off disturbingly close to condoning dubious sexual practices, I think it's a change for the better.

I know I just said you guys can chat here, and I still mean that, but debates about Fast Eddie's decisions should probably be covered in Wiki Talk.

And that's all I was going to say.

From what I've seen, they aren't purging pages like that, just rewriting them to make them as inoffensive as possible.

@ Megafire: I can understand wanting to stay as true to the source material as possible, but could you maybe tone down Kanaya's typing quirk? While it is one of the less obnoxious ones, the complete lack of punctuation is making your dialogue hard to read.

@Gaunt: I thought they only talked like that on Chum, honestly, but I'm still pretty new to Homestuck so I didn't say anything.

I'm kind of stumped as to what to post - sorry.

@ aken: When certain characters meet face-to-face much much later in the story the typing quirks are used, but that's probably because they're so entrenched in the fandom's idea of the characters by that point.

To be honest, I don't think the quirks work at all in normally written dialogue.

As far as the blue tint for the text of the Phazon infection inside Rogue goes, I imagine if Rogue were in a comic book like she normally is... the speech bubbles for it would be blue. No one is supposed to tell that the text is blue, and really just serves for differentiation for the reader.

I've been using AllCaps simply because that's how I always do mechanical or synthesized speech.

That and I used coloured text for various Digimon last season.

Will I be told at what point Nick can start communicating again? I'm aware he'll probably be hobbled for a while but when can he be concius enough to talk?

Oh, yeah, he probably still would be. The bullets weren't in very deep, and even though he has two small holes in him right now, someone like Nick could probably stay conscious.

Homestuck speech: Really, the only time that we ever see dialogue that isn't narrated is either on Chum or with their sprite. It's safest to assume that that's just the sound of their voice. All the same, some commas here and there might be nice.

Another thing I might add... If I was keeping all of Rogue's speaking quirks... Ah'd be talkin' like this! Ah can tell y'all how this ain't that easy to read or type, sugah!

Readability trumps keeping up with quirks in speech even though Rogue is still talking with her thick Southern accent.
