BlazBlue: General thread.

Bullet's problems are mostly tied to her gimmick; she's shit without heat, but the only ways she gets heat is by charging which leaves her vulnerable, or going on the offensive to get it after a combo...except the opponent can just get away if she chooses to do so.

The only way that character can be decent is if they actually gave her something to work with without outside of her heat mechanic...

That's the bottom tiers in a nutshell; they're either outclassed in everything by the other characters, or they have an extreme case of Crippling Overspecialization.

Eh, boss characters are never actually as good as they are in lore.

Technically, Nine and Izanami are bosses, and they're monster tier.

Susanoo mains be struggling for real.

Thing is, a buff to Bullet is quite simple. Either have a few of her moves automatically give heat or automatically give her heat when she executes certain combos in addition to charge. That's the half the battle right there.

Susanoo. I now concede his dash needs to be easier and he needs to a proper low that isn't an unlockable. Though, how to prevent him from becoming too strong with those intact, I'm not sure. I don't play the dude, I've just seen enough on him to understand what he's about.

Susanoo has 3 lows (3C, 2D and "Grand Viper"), just that they are "sweep" lows and not "poke" lows. Basically he's as limited as Terumi in that department, only in the opposite direction.

Izayoi is kinda like Zero in MVC 3 lol.

Shows how much I know.

Can she do Sougenmu loops? Lol.

No, but she has a buff Super that effectively acts as a pause button.

How's Terumi, I've gotten CF but playing around CPE first.

I'm attracted to his style of play but what downsides are there besides what seems like a lot of his moves being unsafe when blocked?

Also, I like Ciel a lot from Melty Blood, so I want to find a character that plays like her.

Terumi is a lot better in CF, but still nowhere near amazing; his mixup improved since they finally gave him a proper overhead, but it's still pretty linear.

I'm not too familiar with Melty Blood sooo, I can't help you there.

Ciel I think is fairly easy to rush people and beat them down and has range to some moves and Black Keys.

I don't know tier system in Melty Blood or really comprehension fighting game lingo but that's what I know.

Rush-down with a little range? Um... I haven't played Melty Blood so I can't say much myself. I think Jin and Noel fit the bill. Terumi might suit your taste, but he's purely mixup and rush-down.

Hm, I think Ciel has good mixup options and that's something I need to practice.

Hakumen is one of those characters I love but gameplay style is unsuited to my tastes.

On Susanoo. Honestly, to counter-act the effort it takes to unlock his seals (most of which are just combo tools and only make him maybe decent), either his unlockable tools have to be better, or his default state (with no unlocks) should be improved. Like, either his default state be decent, or his fully unlocked state should be absolutely monstrous. That being said, here's a few ideas I had in potential buffs.

• Start with DP (2nd seal) already unlocked. Maybe give it a level 2 version with a better hitbox or more invuln.
• Drive attacks are plus on block, but only when they unlock a seal. Feel like this will better encourage Susanoo players to pay attention to his seals, as well as improve his pressure.
• Here's a crazy one: give him an anti-air version of command grab with a similar startup (the input can be 41236C).
• Give Liberating Dagger (236236D) a bigger wallbounce, so you can combo after.

Making him better by default and buffing the specials might be a decent compromise; the way I think Susanoo should work is that he should be workable by default, but becomes amazing once you get the unlocks. So you still have a chance to win without many unlocks, but getting them just makes you stronger and you basically earn the right use this god of destruction.

And just when we were talking about the Susanoo struggle, here's a rather impressive showing from the same player Yakuzu brought up.

Shame the lag potentially cost him the win, but y'know.

It's important to keep in mind the player he's fighting isn't as good as the one I posted before. Yes, I know all of these people and have fought them too.

The remixes I prefer are Thin Red Line II, Lust Sin II, Queen of Rose II, Oriental Flower II, Marionette Purple II, Awakening the Chaos II, Gluttony Fang II, Endless Despair II, Plastic Night II, X-Matic II, Sword of Doom II and Alexandrite II.

The originals I prefer are Bullet Dance, Howling Moon, SUSANOOH, Childish Killer and Reppu.

I either haven't listened enough to or don't care about the songs I haven't listed.

For remixes I prefer over the originals it's: Awakening the Chaos, Under Heaven Destruction, and Plastic Night,.

For songs that I like both equally i, it's Rebellion, Lust SIN, Blood Pain, X-Matic, Black Onslaught, Endless Despair, Gluttony Fang, and Sword of Doom.

Everything else I prefer the original versions.
