Or stick to sprites for consistency but go for Mortal Kombat 9/Injustice/Mortal Kombat X's story model. It would give a much larger portion of the cast a chance to shine.

The story issues that would come of that is that it would share the problem those games have, in that you cannot write characters facing the Playable Character being able to beat them, and as a result of that, you can't play as the hero until the final chapter of the game, something that got awkward throughout all of NRS' games. It could be paired with trash fights, like the equivalent of Jax vs Johnny Cage in MK 9. In fact, it was something I found refreshing in Calamity Trigger when I first played it compared to MK 9, that fights did have lose outcomes, and in some circumstances, the game would continue on the same route.

And it's not even Regime Superman, the Big Bad. It's the good Superman.

If Blaz Blue did have QTE stuff, I imagine it being done like the special clashes in Guilty Gear X2 and Accent Core's Story Modes.

It's hilarious how Hakumen sounds exactly like Jin now too haha.

... That trailer wasn't even a minute long and I already feel violated by Alter Memory's QUALITY.

They'll probably fix it post production but if they don't it really says something about how fucking intolerable Arse Maggots is when even the dub can't be bothered to play it fo rlaughs and just slogs it all the way through.

Wait, what? No Hakumen filter for the AM dub? As if this anime couldn't blow even harder. I have to wonder if the dub team and voice actors realize this anime is unsalvageable and so intend to cock it all up even harder for the lulz. Still, I'd rather throw the whole thing into Inferno ^* No! NOT INTO THE PIT! IT BURNS!! than subject myself to it again.

Don't know what's wrong with you people, but I think this looks fine. Only problem I have is Hakumen's voice, and that's about it.

Everything else I'd pretty standard, it's just Hakumen stands out the most. Keep in mind Him and Jin have a few conversations. Talking to Themself taken the logical conclusion.

Didn't AM cut most of Hakumen and Jin's interactions out? Hell, didn't AM cut Hakumen's...everything out?

Well...they talk once in episode 11 in an adaptation of Hakumen's CS storyline, and Hakumen only fights Ragna as in the CT true ending and gets unsealed by Rachel to kill Mu/Noel as per the True Ending.

Alter Memory killed any hopes of an awesome GG anime for me.

I don't think we needed the dub to tell us that, after our experiences with the sub. Why do you think I said that I envy Gojira for not knowing what's wrong? Innocence can only be tainted, never returned.

I don't know if they'll attempt a Guilty Gear anime anyway, but who says bad examples cannot be learned from?

I'll be honest, I wasn't so crazy about Xrd's story. It had its moments but GGX/2 > GG 2 in story direction and I don't really dig how GG Xrd has gone in the latter's direction.

It felt like the X series was setting up for something really big down the line that we're now never going to fully experience.

Plus a lot of the more charming characters have taken a serious backseat which turns me off a bit. Bedman is really cool at least.

The thread already had a riveting back-to-back discussion on MKX and Street Fighter within the past few days. One would think that GG is fair game.

Importing exchanges to entirely different threads also ends up being a fantastic way to have them abruptly die.

Yes, but I established the Arc thread in the first place for discussions like above, and no one is using it.

I maintain that GG Xrd had a really enjoyable story thanks to the excellent main cast, which along with other crazy fun moments, allowed me to overlook the flaws of it. Plus, X2 and Accent Core, while I liked them, were ultimately just the cast's crazy weekend.

I also maintain that making GG a 90's throwback Anime would be the only way to do it justice (ha), while also making all of Missing Link Season 1. Which is something Alter Memory should have considere-Ah, who am I kidding, i'd still be shit.
