And Farnsworth tells Zoidberg he'll pay for Zoidberg's tan.
And MOM accepts the coupon! Though, she hasn't been known to be all there to begin with, and Zoidberg being Zoidberg, it's the only thing of value he's carrying.
I would still suggest you watch the rest of the episode later, though. The ending is heartwarming and hilarious.

Oh Hell, I saw that part. I can't believe I couldn't put two things that were minutes apart together. I am an idiot.
Someone on the staff this season really likes Zoidberg.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. So many great moments, but the best was Zoidberg and the Professor going "Woob woob woob woob" together at the end. My heartstrings are pulled by weiiird things.
deviantArt | TwitterYou're not the only one. This is probably THE best Zoidburg episode yet. Then again, his previous ones were all lackluster. Being basically an origin story on how the Professor met Zoidburg and how he came to work for him says a lot.

Yeah, this was genuinely good.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntThis episode is one of the reasons the show had to come back. It's about time we knew Zoidberg's backstory, and what a backstory it is!
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541Shoot. I wanna know the back stories of how the other characters met the Professor!

The sad, REAL American dichotomyLooks like I have a new example for one of my most recent contributions.
Also, man was that an enjoyable episode. Hermes next, please!

The sad, REAL American dichotomyWe've already had a little bit of backstory on Hermes. We know he used to inspect robots for defects, until he refused to reject Bender.
Hey look, Negative Continuity in action! Last season there was a big deal made about how Bender couldn't be backed up and was effectively mortal. This season has an episode where Bender spends a while backed up as a Wi-Fi ghost and is reincarnated in a new unit.

Fresh-eyed movie blogI mean how he and Hubert met, and even if we've already had that, I'd like more Hermes in general.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyEh, Bender was said to be created in a factory fully grown and was immediately given a degree in Bending, but in a recent episode, it was revealed that Hermes inspected him when Bender was in a more baby-ish form.
No matter how you look at it, Futurama still has some negative continuity.
It was also recently said that his grandmother was a bulldozer. As in, he somehow has relatives.
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541I enjoyed the latest, but having the entire Planet Express crew rush blindly into Zoidberg's surgery veered deep into Idiot Plot territory. (Fry going in, no problem, he's an idiot..)
It would be amusing if Zoidberg invariably displayed razor-sharp competence when dealing with non-human anatomy.
Maybe he was made from recycled parts of a machine that was made from recycled parts of a bulldozer?
I know I'm a little late with the new episode airing in twenty minutes, but I like how the latest episode was somewhat foreshadowed in "The Late Philip J. Fry" when it was revealed that after Farnsworth apparently died, Zoidberg was fired without hesitation.

3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541Dammit! Futurama made me cry again! Serious tugging at the ol’ heartstrings in that final scene with Fry and his dad.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!That was my favorite episode so far. Not that there was a high mark to clear, but still.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I'm still watching it, but this is an all around great episode. I'll be using the terms tissue walrus and LL Fool J now.
Also, the episode clears up any fridge logic it introduces. Fry wasn't the only character from the past, so even if he didn't get the cold, someone might have, and through him and the hamster we have a resolution for all of them. At least, I'm at the part where his hypothesis was described, and I'm pretty sure I can see the ending coming.
- Okay, I was just expecting them to quarantine the planet and the hamster would conveniently land on time or Fry would realize it was their only hope. Wasn't expecting that. Or Zoidberg to know the Piranha plan. Anyway, finally a Zapp cameo that's actually worth it (besides "In Agadda", though I didn't like that he got what he wanted in that).
- once I saw Gedge's experiment, I was glad he would win. Really, a true underdog story.
- I hope Gedge is a Wernstrom ancestor.
- It was odd to see the first reference to our current president be what we got. Kind of funny, though. And it was with that that I could tell Phil Lamarr's voice(s) out of a blind lineup.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI lost track of time and only tuned in when they quarantined Planet Express. Poopiez. It did warm my heart by the end, nonetheless, and it was awesome seeing WERNSTRUM again. Fry's old school rival should be a recurring antagonist!
I been waiting for the new tear-jerking episodes for this season!

Guys, this isn't a separate season from last year. They just ordered one and split it in half (I hate the practice of doing this so they can sell two DVD's instead of one with all the episodes). I'm baffled why they separated the halves by a year, though.
Anyway, two episodes left now, the latest Series Fauxnale (written before the renewal for the new season next summer (and the summer AFTER THAT)) and a fun little non-canon Anthology of Interest type episode in three different animation styles.
So I expect Tear Jerker next week. Be prepared.
Needs a new signature.I was really surprised at the lack of Simpsons Movie references.
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541
And then at the end of the episode, everyone decides to celebrate the day being saved by going to a tanning parlor.
