Ladies and gentlemen, in light of the new episode, I think it's time we admit that this season has sucked.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. On the contrary. I believe this episode was among the best of the season.
I've enjoyed all of the new season so far. This episode wasn't as great as say, the orphan one, but it was still pretty good.
Zoidberg is certainly getting a great deal of focus this season. Can't say if that's a good thing...
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireYeah, definitely one of the best seasons. Don't know what you're getting at.
I like that it's going different places, and even if the new episode petered out at the very end it was still a nifty idea and a rather fun parody. I also like whenever Leela isn't the voice of reason and that they've fleshed out her flaws.
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake! This was a pretty good episode. Didn't like Zoidberg getting a happy ending, pun noticed after the fact.
It's a damn shame. all the whale wanted was some Calvin Klein.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI missed last night's episode because I thought it was Wednesday. Oh well.
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541go back a couple pages for a link.
IGN's reviewer kinda sucks. There's a difference between a review and a summary with unfunny repetitions of all the punch lines.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy^^ ^ Thanks.
One thing I have to say about this season is that it seems to be tipping the status quo way more often than in the previous seasons. It's not a bad thing in any way, but it's rarer to see the crew simply going to a planet and meeting some quirky aliens. A character quits his job at Planet Express, a character dies, the entire planet is destroyed, etc. and then at the end of course it's all back to normal. The only problem with this is that it stretches the Willing Suspension of Disbelief and causes a lot of Like You Would Really Do It. It's still a great show, but it's definitely changed. Whether or not it's for the best is still up in the air.

Fresh-eyed movie blogGuys, I'm going to tell you an incredible true fact, and it's gonna blow your minds. Are you ready?
Here goes: Futurama hasn't gotten any better or worse. At all. Honestly, there hasn't been any change to speak of.
If you choose to continue whining about a decline in quality that isn't there, congratulations, you're a netizen.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. We had a terrible episode shake us up into looking for flaws instead of glossing over them because we like the show.
Fresh-eyed movie blogTerrible episode? I saw no terrible episode...
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireYo Leela Leela was a travesty of television.
Fresh-eyed movie blogHuh. I thought it was one of the funniest episodes for some time. Ah well. Different strokes for different folks...
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireThen this episode is a perfect case of Love It or Hate It.
I thought it was acceptable.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI found the concept of a space whale refreshing, mainly because I never thought something like that would appear in this show. Or the original crew, for that matter.
The one I disliked was the back-to-Colonial-times episode, mostly because of the jumbled ahistorical mess the crew found even before they started meddling. Yeah, yeah, I know, Rule of Funny.
Loved all the classic spaceships and the Fourth Doctor cameo in the space whale episode.
http://www.mansionofe.comThey went to the Disneyland Version of the Revolutionary era. If you want accuracy, rent a documentary. It was a pretty good episode.
I wish I recognized more of the ships from this week. I spotted a few, but there's at least one I didn't know and should have.

lol, actually that wouldn't be all bad if all he did was slowly flip through porno mags. I find it quite mesmerizing.
