Gareth David-Lloyd (28th March 1981) is a Welsh actor and writer who is best known for the role of role of Ianto Jones in Torchwood.

First appearing on TV in the 2003 sitcom Absolute Power (BBC), David-Lloyd's breakthrough role came in the form of Series/Torchwood, where he played the secretive administrator and archivist Ianto Jones. David-Lloyd played the character until his untimely death in the 2009 episode "Day Four", but reprised the role for the Big Finish range of Torchwood audios, as well as contributing several stories.

Outside of his appearances on Torchwood, David-Lloyd has performed theatre work, and has appeared in roles in both movies such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes TV shows like CASUAL+Y, and video games such as Dragon Age: Inquisition.

David-Lloyd also previously fronted the progressive metal band Blue Gillespie (formerly known as "A Breath of Blue Fire"), releasing their debut album ("Synesthesia") in 2010 and their second ("Seven Rages of Man") in 2012.
