Thanks for the PvP quest for the rogue mount, Blizzard.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984New Pet Collection achievement in 7.3:
Raiding with Leashes V: Cuteaclysm: Collect all of the battle pets listed below from Bastion of Twilight, Blackwing Descent, Throne of the Four Winds, Firelands, and Dragon Soul. Item Reward: Amalgam of Destruction. 10 points. Account Wide.
I still don't have the "Lick King" one done despite running ICC nearly weekly...
Oh, and slightly old news, but I finally beat the Twins encounter for my Balance Druid challenge artifact appearance over the weekend. Man, that is a stressful fight once you get to P4/P5.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Did that myself last night. Honestly I kind of liked it. Particularly the exodar one where you really have to pick your moment and use Distract
One of the pets from Arthas only drops on Normal.
I know. I've been hunting it for months.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Wait, which one? Because I'm definitely missing one despite doing H25 ICC every week... Probably that one, huh?
If it only drops in normal you wouldn't get it running H25
The rogue quest is garbage, especially because my rogue is Alliance on a Horde server. There were people camping the target in Silvermoon at 3:30 am.
The Cuteaclysm sounds like the greatest thing ever.

"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Damn, I had no idea this whole time. Guess I'm smashing out some normals. Ironic that I have the Snobold Runt multiple times (which isn't required because of it's rarity).
So, its Blizzard Arathi Basin week and some buddies of mine did the Quest for it cause we are collecting the Pv P Mogs.
We helped fend of the Alliance at the Lumber Mill when the Blacksmith was assailed and, me being on my mage, we decided to take the short curt, mount up with Slow Fall and hop down.
Here's where the fun starts.
Because 2 of my buddies + me had Grand Expedition Yaks we decided to do a Aerial Yak Attack and so all mounted up on them after slow fall was cast and we hopped down in formation.
Thing is, in Blizzard AB, visual range is pretty short with all the icy fog. Which meant our approaching Yak Armada, to the honest shock of the desperate horde priest defending the spot, basically came out of nowhere like three big hairy flying dutchmen.
Which the priest continued to rant about for the next minute or so after we'd driven off the alliance.
We now consider weaponizing it.

"You can reply to this Message!"That's freaking hilarious.
[DATA LOST]Couldn't drag me back into doing PVP after what I went through to get this:
http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1793/for-the-children
I still sometimes wake up screaming about the last battle thing I had to do.
I felt it was those not trying to get the achievement who suffered most. Even Alterac was being dragged out and both sides cooperating to take turns capturing towers. Kind of the antithesis of a battleground. It was a bad idea (especially in such a narrow timeframe) and I hope it doesn't return. I don't mind some PvP in important quests, tho.
I finished the Suramar storyline (slowpoke, I know), got Pathfinder part one, and may I say I love the whole place. How Shal'aran grows, the busy and majestice but also threatening city, the subversive approach, the fact that it feels like you're helping these people rather than stomping in and killing everyone, the way it actually comes to a conclusion with the Arcan'dor. Even the "hungering" animation is so noticeable.
Though disguising as a Nightborne, with their tunics and coats, makes me acutely aware that players only have full-length skirts as an option. We need more dress sizes.
Also,I got my 600th unique pet.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years. So "For the Children" is gone from the game then?
As far as I know, it's still in the game.
People actually cooperating between factions to get an achievement? If that really happened, it counts for me as a Moment of Heartwarming because you don't see that kind of things.
Seriously, my avatar comes from the embodiment of the So Bad, It's Good trope. It's in the game, but it seems that most players who cared for it now have it. The first year it was a mess.
The problem is that you had in the same battleground: players cooperating and dragging out the battle, players griefing the former and dragging out the battle, and players wanting the battleground to end one way or another. Taken together, a recipe for trouble. If they put further achievements and quests in battlegrounds, they should center around helping your side to win.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.Thank goodness the most popular format of PVP on my server is 3V3 where the only griefing is when the system randomly queues a tank and a healer on the same team.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Posting this where relevant: World of Warcraft gold is now definitively more valuable than the bolivar.
Or, in other words: OUCH.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Not the first time something like that has happened. Zimbabwe apparently hit that point in 2015, for example. Still, very sad.
The "everyone who cared already has it" draws my attention. As somebody who first played just three months ago, I've been able to find easily some things that apparently were very hard some time ago. Pets like the Minfernal and the Unborn Valkyr, which apparently saw a lot of competition, are now completely deserted. There's also a pandaren pickaxe I found inside a jade mine that I've been told was super rare as well. Judging by statistics, it seems that proto-dragon may be the only thing that's still rare (not that I care about it, anyway).
Seriously, my avatar comes from the embodiment of the So Bad, It's Good trope. Is it me or is world pvp the worst it has ever been? Tanks are literally unkillable and can easily do enough damage to kill you very quickly.

Wowhead released another preview of some of the dialogue in Antorus.
...Why does Illidan get all the cool boasts when we're doing all the legwork for him? I swear, that guy needs to get punched.
Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies. That's not all. Illidan has made Argus appear in the sky as close to Azeroth as the Bruce Almighty Moon.

This blog focuses on the visual updates that are being made in patch 7.3 to spellcasting animations. There's way too much content to list out, and it makes for some good reading to see the thought processes. Generally, they're trying to give each race and class a more distinct visual identity while casting spells, and to make the animation of a casting a spell match its "weight" — a quick spell should use a quick animation, and a more powerful spell should use a longer animation that displays greater effort.
This video provides a glimpse into many of the new animations, and I really like what I'm seeing.
Refresh my memory: how long do guild signatures last?
