Damnit, missed Imi.

I don't mind story, but gameplay comes first. That's the key thing. Hell, grinding doesn't bother me at all. It's fun if the battle system is fun.

So today was good for you I assume?

I watched Marble Hornets and slept.

It was! I got an entire store full of people crowded around watching with baited breath as I played one of my finest matches ever. It was one of those moments, man. I was playing someone who'd apparently memorized every possible move I could make, but I still managed to analyze his weaknesses in return and play around them. For winning!

Marble Hornets sounds like fun, though it seems like it'd be incompatible with sleep :p Glad you got to catch up a little though.

And here, we see a tough spot in the Chef-Waiterman relationship.

In this vignette, Chef becomes incapable of handling his own problems. This is signified by him making his grill unusable through orange paint. Waiterman has to pick up Chef's slack. As Chef has failed his role in the relationship, Waiterman must compensate, a principle akin to a wife working overtime because her husband was let go. However, even Waiterman is obstructed by Chef's problems, symbolized by the orange paint.

Seeing Waiterman struggle with his own problems forces Chef to reflect on the cause of them. He goes back to a childhood memory, a failure that has stained his life since then. Very Freudian, obviously. However, instead of confronting and overcoming this memory, he falters and strikes out against Waiterman, who strikes him back in turn. It becomes obvious that Chef needs to take a break from the relationship and go to find himself.

This, I do believe, stands out among Central Avenue's work. It's something that relates to anyone who's ever been in a stressful relationship. Also, Central uses a fuller gamut of emotions than his usual stock. I recommend this story highly

That sounds fun...I like attracting crowds of people when I do things. Attention whore that I am. Which is one reason I liked DDR so much. I could attract small crowds of people very easily even though my skills were average at best.

Marble Hornets doesn't seem to be affecting me much. Though it's more unsettling than pretty much any horror film I've seen. Which I think is a bit sad. Some dude's youtube videos are creepier than some big budget horror film...

Night Ramus.

@Aon: How far are you?

Though, the series didn't really bother me at all either. Creepy or scary, even with all of the great detail put in, didn't really bother me.

It was odd—I was so focused on the game I didn't notice when a ring of people just formed around us. Did it happen really gradually? All at once? I don't even know. In hindsight, it's pretty exciting I managed to garner the attention, but if I'd been more than vaguely aware of it it probably would've thrown me off.

And hey, sometimes it's easier to do more with less. I think horror particularly benefits from that sort of economy.

I'm probably sounding pretty creepy at this point with the whole "having stuff living inside of me" deal, so I think I'll just get creepier. If there was something squirming under my skin, wiggling around and such, so long as I knew what it was doing wasn't harmful to me, I'd find it FREAKING COOL. Probably ticklish too. Like say if a slug basically crawled around on me and basically lived off of the dead skin I shed and produce, that'd be so damn cool.
