So I don't have a witty title like last time but basically for the viewers at home we sneaked around, curbstomped a few blights due to the RNG not hating us this time (and fewer blights) went to my character's parent's shop, found no sign of them, and took some of the supplies there. That...was all we accomplished in like 3 hours. Mostly due to use having to stealth around everywhere.

Well fuck. This is the part where I'm awake when I really shouldn't be.

Y'know what's fun? Deciding that your're gonna root for the bad guys, doing all the necessary mental gymnastics.

I opened my buggy, got-it-off-some-sleazy-guy's-flash-drive copy of Photoshop, the one that makes a foreign url flash on the screen and tells me to accept an End User License agreement every single time I boot it up, and spent half an hour manually scrubbing the white pixels off of the Blue Novice. I did this with the Eraser tool, which apparently has all manner of sizes you could want as long as you want it in a circle, and it took ages.

And then I was reminded that the Blue Novice x2 is 80 by 80 pixels, and that the avatar uploader is FUCKING FUCKED UP LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE AFTER THIS FUCKING UPDATE, and my efforts had been in vain.

So I brought up a larger image of the Blue Novice, and started doing the same thing, for ANOTHER half hour.

Transparency evidently does not work like I thought it did, and/or my messing with the opacity slider had unforeseen consequences (which would be even worse, because it would mean I should go back in and try my luck with fucking alien technology again), because it does not blend.

Fuck me in the ass. Just... just do it.

It's four o' clock in the morning and I've blundered through half a D&D session, watched some reruns of a show that's not very good, wasted effort on something I know I don't know how to do, and done nothing else the entire day.

And I'm probably going to get up at two in the afternoon and accomplish just as much, or less, today.

Somebody who is learned in alien technology, could you by any chance copy my Blue Novice avatar, scale it to double size, take the two or three clicks it takes to render the background (all the white bits, not just around him) transparent, and upload and share it to me?
