It was kind of weirdly phrased, though now that you mention your intention, I can see what you were going for.
But that's a bad joke, isn't it, if you have to explain it?
Sorry, dude. Happens to the best of us.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.I drew this for a friend as a gift (late gift)
Supposedly I am only practicing and not doing requests/drawing proyects but... friends are always the exception :D.
@Jhm I like the way you handle your lines. I think your style would be perfect for a Tim burton production. Is a bit dark but I like it.

Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love. You've improved a lot, Fallen Legend.
Read my stories!Few things annoy me quite as much as people who completely miss the point of what I'm going for. It wasn't really helping that he did that, then reported me. That's just fail on a whole new level. Also: I'm not a frequent trope user, so there's that.
But anyways, good job on that guy for irreversibly smearing my reputation because of a joke you didn't get.

A friendly flower, and your best friend. He has a knack for funny faces. You do not exactly have room complain if your posts are misinterpreted over the internet. Sarcasm doesn't exactly translate well over text, especially calling someone a pretentious fuck.
And a thump is hardly smearing your reputation. Cut the dramatics, please.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerOkay, to try to rerail the thread, here's a hair tutorial...
Did I do good?
Just floating around...Anyway, some more digital painting practice. This took me ridiculously long to complete and even then it still looks like shit.

If you have to ask if you're doing a good job, and worrying about it being too confusing, I don't know if you're ready to be drawing tutorials.
Also, did people actually request to know how you draw hair?
Actually your reaction to the thump has left far more of an impression than a joke.

Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.I never got to read the post in question so I have no opinion. In regards to my own posts, I dislike judging/critiquing the works of others so I only comment on what the art represents if anybody wonders why I never say "that line looks too bended" or other such things.

Worked some more on the Dragon, I can't remember ever getting this far in terms of visual awe:
I still got some more work to do on the teeth and the games which are lacking. I estimate the entire dragon would take 16-30 hours, so I'm just sticking with the head to get better at this. I'm doing this to see if I CAN do this or if its beyond my reach and stuff. ...And to prepare for doing works in commissions.
ART UPDATE:
I don't know why I used purple as the base, it was suppose to be the shade, but it ended up being the main color or something. Heres a closer shot showing details, although you can see some of the unfinished parts.◊
UPDATE 3:
Now with roughed up Dragon Hide!◊

My Twitter!Welp, I finally figured how I wanted a certain protagonist in my story to look. His hair was a nightmare to think up, by the way. I really can't draw many kinds of hair.
Explanation of his character:
He's intended to be a small-time mercenary hired in the story to look into certain so-called legendary artifacts known throughout the lands as the 'Crystal Shards'. As for his physical characteristics, the wounds on his eyes and face are from a injury he received as a child after a bottle burst in his face that forced him to wear glasses for the rest of his life. The glasses he wears were the construction of his fathers, a skilled glass-maker, and are actually bolted to his ear. The small cuts on his head, however, is actually a part of a running gag going on through the story about how his extreme height makes him bump his head frequently. Other than that, though, he's highly skilled in the usage long swords, and bows. Oh, and he's an Elf. That's about it.

A friendly flower, and your best friend. He has a knack for funny faces. There's only about three other characters in the story I have set in stone (protagonists, anyway). Egroth, David, and Hope. And yes, I do know exactly how weird these names sound sitting next to each other, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
A friendly flower, and your best friend. He has a knack for funny faces.I've got one or two new things, but my scanner is currently out of commission, so here's◊ something from my colossal back catalog of old artwork that, sadly, only one or two people have seen.
The displacement near the top is due to the whole picture having been too large for my scanner, so I had to piece it together in two parts.

this place needs me hereUnfortunately the desktop to which my scanner is attached is badly busted, so I have only my iPhone to photograph my drawings. Nonetheless, here's a partial view of Queen Tiye, an Egyptian queen who was King Tut's grandmother.
My DeviantArt Domain My TumblrDerp is apparently highly relative.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThat is what you classify as 'derp' art?!?
.-.
-Sigh-
^^Of course. The variations of derp are manifold. It's a highly technical term. In this case, "derp" means "Oh dear gods, what did I do to his eyes and mouth?"
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - BocajArgh! Work and school! I come back at 10 and wanna draw the next piece and I only got an hour in!! ARGH!!
To BE or NOT to BE! DRAGON WIP. Instead of a skull in hand, it will be a knight helmet, since thats practically a knights head.
EDIT:
Worked 3 more hours on it this morning. I realize I don't know how to paint metal texture, you can see it in the helmet. :{ I realize that it isn't lack of skill but lack of knowledge that prevents me from drawing some textures. Animals skin texture is ingrained into my mind from my old hobby of reading large textbooks on various zoological subjects so I know the hide of many animals which is what I was able to incorporate into the last piece and this piece to some extent.
The gray Dragon after some more work.

My Twitter!I've noticed that even though I check every post in this thread, I seldom post here. So have a random observation/compliment dump:
- Tumbril, I admire your use of colour in your landscapes and people. Especially in your landscapes - they look so otherworldly because of your colouring.
- Fulgrate, your improvement is really visible. The rate at which you post art is phenomenal. My only suggestion is that you might like to work a bit with colour in traditional art, which will give you a better idea of how to blend colour without recourse to digital tools.
- Fedora Pirate, I think you do the best work with figures in this thread, even with a cartoony style. I also love the Western/steampunk aesthetic you've got in your art.
- Noaqiyeum*, you have great atmosphere and unique ideas. The dandy hat crabs were ridiculously cute.
- Wheezy, I marvel at your clean lines and elegant line art. How on earth do you manage to get it so clean? My lines are always sort of shaggy.
D-don't I get one?
A friendly flower, and your best friend. He has a knack for funny faces.
It's okay, I didn't get one either. -Shrug-
Uh...
Did no one catch onto my sarcasm when reading that?
No one?
Well sheesh, way to report a joke post.
