After all it's called Disney Death. I think the before and after is kinda the key importance of the trope.

I actually like the caption idea...I don't think people are actually that dumb they would assume a classic fairy tale was them getting pranked even IF they haven't seen the movie. Give the public some credit, I think most people aren't generally stupid.

It's not necessarily stupid to think that. The Disney Death as a prank has been done in Disney movies, like when Baloo pretended to be dead as a prank to Mowgli and Bagheera.

Anyway, though the current pic is of just the "before" part, consensus seems to favour the image from post 25.

I'm going to have to second what clockwork said...people are not pure idiots. It doesn't matter if they haven't seen the movie...there are so many stories of not just Snow White, but of a princess in a deep sleep-thought to be dead, but is awakened in the end.

Stories like this exist like in practically A LOT of cultures...it's not a new trope that Disney came up with.

That was the highest I could find on the internet, unless you have a dvd to the movie and want to screencap it yourself. It's not HD, but it's still a pretty clean image compared to anything I tried looking for in GIS
