Tamago's verbal tic is absolutely terrible. He ends his sentences with completely random French words and phrases.

Did Kaido beat up Kid just for being from the same generation as Luffy and Law? Well, I guess it'll get the message accross. But I wonder if Kid might switch sides and join Luffy's alliance.

Does Chopper know how to cook? And would you trust a mink that doesn't even have reasonable expectations of what to pack for a long sea trip to cook something without making the same mistake Luffy did?

It is. There wouldn't have been a reason to show that girl otherwise.

I doubt Chopper would know, being the baby of the bunch. And I think the Straw Hats merely chose the wrong time to trust in their captain.

If Chopper knows how to cook up medicines, he can make a basic meal.

That or they didn't want to play Nami.

Not really. Jack's a Devil Fruit user. Regardless of whether he can survive in water he still can't move in it. We saw the same thing with Van der Decken

The extent of medicine-making I've seen Chopper do is grind up herbs. I know that chemistry and and cooking go hand in hand, but I don't think he knows the proper temperature and timing to cook meat and veggies, or recommend a diet on anything other than sweets.

Maybe it's a case of too many choices. He sees the food reserves and decided to take a bit of everything, except he can barely cook his own meat. Then he screws up, and takes a bit of everything again...

Luffy's not knowing his dad... Was that always the case? It just seems like he's too stupid to function.

I'd still like to see more of the New Trio in comparison to the rest.

Dragon was probably too busy doing revolutionary things and Garp most likely went out of his way to avoid anything dealing with him.

I swear there was an SBS question about which Straw Hats can cook. The answer was that Sanji is the only one who's really good, but Nami, Robin, and one other (Franky or Brook iirc) have some skills. The rest all suck.

I liken it to Gon Freecs relationship to his own parents; if they weren't ever a part of his life, then they simply aren't relevant.

Luffy's response to hearing about his father at water seven was literally "I have a dad?"

I'd have to imagine both Franky and Brook should be able to cook, given their age, experience and backstories. Brook less so ever since he went crazy.

You would think Luffy would pick some cooking skills while living alone during the time skip. His skills would probably be very specialized, but still he should have some idea about what to/not to do.

The most I can imagine Luffy learning during that time is cooking raw meat.

Hell, he roughed it for a little bit with Ace and Sabo.

But no, raw meat on a plate. At least he uses a plate, I guess.

Luffy's level of meat-cooking skill is probably no more than "stick meat into fire until it 'looks' 'done".

Reading that it looks to me like everyone would be fine except for Luffy, Chopper, and Zoro.
