As someone who frequents the Doctor Who thread, I advise you never to show up there. Even leaving aside the whole spoiler thing, they can be a bit weirdly toxic to new folks at times.

Yeeesh, that damn fanbase. Several whovians I've seen in the RPG section very quickly showed themselves to be people I really do not want to associate with.
Although as I recall they don't even post anywhere else on the forum.

That requires coordination, foresight and attention. The team is fractured, has limited communication and plus the usual Idiot Hero fare.

As their dealing with Bon Kurei showed they could come up with such a countermeasure, but really not in these circumstances.

I just love "crew are super-good at their actual jobs" scenes in general. Usopp performing all those calculations was one of the best demonstrations of that in the manga's history.

I expect Sanji to help Usopp get control of his haki.

When he's not trying to beat him up for stealing his new girlfriend...

He's probably already seen another hot woman and forgot all about her, because that's the kind of guy Sanji is. I'm not bothered by it, but that's how he comes off to me.

That's pretty much how he comes off to everybody truthfully.

And then the observation haki. And then the actual success. Honestly could have done without the derp face and just had him snipe her in the fucking head but I guess that's an unrealistic want.

I agree with Wander. The best part is that the Haki was just the cherry on top. Having performed all the calculations in his head, Usopp would've made the shot anyway if the wall hadn't been there.

Best Usopp moment since shooting the flag. Now fix Becky and we're good.

And now even if Sugar wakes up she'll be too freaked out to do anything for fear of sudden derp face. I probably shouldn't find that as funny as I do.

So what Ussopp did this chapter was:

- Shoot from and even more impossible distance than in Enies Lobby - Managed to save his captain from a tragic fate - Develop motherfucking Haki, when he didn't even need it. - NTR'd the shit out of Sanji

He also seemed to confirm that his "lapse" back there was due to forgetting Robin. Does it work as an explanation? YMMV, but it's good even he feels he was Not Himself.

I've said before that that doesn't change how shitty it was. It makes sense, but it's still shitty to read.

With regards to which Straw Hats will get Haki... am I the only one who thinks Franky and Brook don't really need it? I don't see how it would really compliment their styles, unlike the others, and Brook's likely too fast for a Haki user to detect anyway.

He's Writing for the Trade in a sense. It will be far less shitty to someone reading the arc in one go.

Usopp. At this point in time. Genuinely running away in fear. Is shitty regardless of amnesia or pacing.

Indeed, Ussop even before Robin got toyed was far more of a wuss than I'd have liked.

I expect that most of the crew, if not all, will get some form of haki. Brook will probably get Observation. Franky doesn't really work with it well, but I might think Armament, which he passes on to his projectiles. I'd find it funniest if he got Conqueror's, though. Imagine him knocking crowds unconscious by doing his pose.

Oh, and I never knew you liked Chopper, WLW. What would you think of my idea of Kaido making him a job offer, and the resulting dilemma getting him his "Xth person" chapter?

I can't see him even considering working for someone who was involved with Caesar.

I think it's too late for everyone to get an Xth person chapter.

I'm not sure Kaido would make the pitch personally, I just think Chopper would find an offer by a community where everyone was like him mighty tempting.

Yeah, rereading the chapter, Usopp said nothing that implied that forgetting Robin influenced his actions. He didn't want to be a part of that mission to begin with, he was even thinking about finding a time to run away while they were explaining the plan to him.

His outrage about forgetting Robin, was just that he forgot a member of the crew in general, and forgetting Luffy is obviously the worst thing that can happen.
