No, the whole "the king is attacking us" part.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyMost of the fight didn't happen in town though. The only thing they could really see is Doflamingo shooting another shichibukai, which while curious, could easily be explained away by letting them know Fujitora revoked Law's status.
Awww, duh, brain fart. Remembering that, yeah, the Dressrosans probably get the edge for seeing Riku and the soldiers crying and telling them, they were being controlled and to just kill them, and not finding anything suspicious about Doflamingo just showing up right on time. They win out, but not by much.

The idiocy is annoying, but when I look at some of the stuff that happens in real life I feel that sometimes people are just that stupid.
Common sense is a flower that doesn't grow in every gardenI know the thread doesn't like spoiler talk, but man this week's was satisfying.
All I'll say is Luffy struggling makes me happy.
Ugh, people already going on about how Sabo is a strong as the admirals.
What evidence do they offer, pray tell?
Kuma was strong, Sabo is obviously stronger than Kuma and now has the flame flame fruit. Ergo, Sabo can take on an admiral. Typical Fan Boy "logic" I guess, but irritating nonetheless.
I don't even know where they got "stronger than Kuma" from. All we know is that he's about even with Burgess.
Clearly the logic is this:
- Kuma holds a bible
- Kuma recognizes the power of the bible as being greater than that of any man
- The power in the bible comes from the sacrifice of Jesus
- Burgess' first name is Jesus
- Jesus = Jesus
Therefore, Kuma recognizes that Burgess is more powerful than him. Q.E.D.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI think they're running off of the misinterpreted "Sabo is Dragon's Second in Command" thing (which could well be true, but we in this thread deduce that it's more like the whitebeard "divisions" than a power hierarchy). Running under *that* theory plus Asskicking Equals Authority, it could be suggested that since Sabo is second in command that means he's stronger than either Kuma or Ivankov, and Kuma's power+Logia would certainly be in the realm of the admirals. Not really stronger, though. Plus Sakazuki already demonstrated that lava > fire.
I don't think we as a thread decided that, whether or not that's the case.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI just mentioned some people at Arlong Park were debating whether the kanji meant "Second-in-command" or "Second Commander."
Something that's been bothering me about Law, where the hell does counter shock come from? Yeah, it fits with his whole doctor motif, but it makes no sense compared to every other thing his fruit lets him do. Is it just Ruleof Cool?
Manipulating nerve impulses? I dunno.
Completely unrelatedly, the spoiler pics contain Robin/Koala fanfic fodder.
Saw it.
It occurs to me that after this arc is over, Luffy and possible some others' bounties are going to shoot up again.
Indeed. They'd have taken down a Warlord, overthrown a World Noble-sponsored Kingdom, gotten another Warlord to defect, and quite possibly made Kaido mad.
Luffy's leaving everyone else in the dust now, though, so I hope his doesn't increase, proportionally, as much as the others'.
It's high time for Usopp to get his own poster, actually. Another update for Robin and one for Franky? (Zoro doesn't seem to be doing much)
Zoro might be relevant again this chapter; from what I can tell he got lost again, and as a result he's the only good guy left in the castle as Pica ejects everyone in the throne room.
Re: Counter Shock
The most reasonable explanation I can think of is that he's Shambling around electrons to generate the electricity.
I think it's just a natural part of the "surgeon" skillset: the defibrillator
Where was this said? The post by Gilphon, I mean. I can't say I agree with it, hype should be lived up to but that sounds like a really bad way to handle it. It basically turns hype into a big warning sign that says "copout defeat incoming".
At least the people of Dressrosa have the excuse of a devil fruit making them forget all of their toyified loved ones. Here though it was all these people being too dense to spot an obvious frame job.
