Tenzin's probably the cool old guy, Aang, like all avatars before him, will be the ghost mentor.
Yeah I know, I was just wondering if Spirt!Aang will appear as a kid or an old guy.

I think that they can choose how they appear to the present Avatar. All of them except Roku appeared to be in their 20s/30s in the series, and Kyoshi lived to be over 200. No way she looked that good as a 200 year old woman. I can't really picture them making Aang old, really.

Maybe he'll just show up as about the same age Zach Tyler Eisen currently is (I think he's 18 now).
I'm a bit confused on this. Do the four nations (well, three unless the Air...whatever, was rebuilt) still exist? All I'm hearing about is the United Republic, so did all the nations unite or is the Republic just like a culture hub or something.
Culture hub.
Well, in the trailer we see the Southern Water tribe still there, so the nations are probably all still existant. Just add a new area that unites all of them and bingo: United Republic / Republic City whatever its called.
Okay, thank you. I was just getting confused since there's been almost no information regarding the nations proper.
So the leader of the anti-benders◊ has a Chinese character (Ping) on his chest, and apparently it has several meanings:
As a verb: draw, tie, put down, suppress, make the same score
As an adjective: level, flat, plain, average, ordinary, common, equal, calm, peaceful.
Love to see that the incredible attention to little details like these is still there.

OH MY GOD this is amazing! I come back to this thread to find four more pages and a deluge of information! An awesome trailer! Brothers who can bend different elements! (Maybe they're Zuko's descendants, and Dante Basco plays the earthbender - thus, making the character related to Zuko but also a surprise.) Toph's daughter as a metal-bending police chief! Tenzin's adorable happy family! I cannot wait for this show! Please tell me when they say "2012", they mean "January 1, 2012".
"War doesn't prove who's right, only who's left." "Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future."That mask of his makes me think of V of V For Vendetta.
Hodor^^ David Faustino is Mako and P.J. Byrne is Bolin.
Pfft, they're clearly Ursa's grandchildren with some Earthbending guy.
Good, so Dante's character being Ursa's grandkid is still open! Do we have any info on Mako and Bolin's parents or grandparents?
Also, how do Sokka's kids fit into this?
Edit: Wait. Korra mastered three elements already, and she's only sixteen. Avatars are usually only told they're the Avatar when they turn sixteen. This means that some crisis made the priests tell Korra earlier, just like they did with Aang. Probably the Equalizers, right? So this means that they have to keep Korra in hiding for her training, because of course they would want to kill the Avatar.

"War doesn't prove who's right, only who's left." "Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future."Yeah, there's a picture around somewhere of tomboyish five year old Korra firebending. They must've told her when she was like two.
Actually, I think it's because her personality is most suited to firebending, so even though she's from the Water Tribe, the bending skills she first displayed were firebending skills. I mean, that's possible if it's possible to have two brothers be different kinds of benders, right? Maybe it was even some kind of clue that she was the Avatar, that a Water Tribe kid could firebend.

"War doesn't prove who's right, only who's left." "Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future."Or someone let it slip and the rest if them said "fuck it, cats out of the bag now. Let start training her"

Untitled Power Rangers StoryShe certainly seems fighty enough that it's possible.
i. hear. a. sound.Oh my god I just saw the trailer it's so fucking awesome!!
And Toph's daughter is Commissioner Gordon. So damn wonderful.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Aw yeah. I am looking forward to this. The animation is awe-inspiringly good. It looks BETTER than the first series.

guh this is sooooo coooool
Metal. Bending. Police force. Holy shit! Two skills that were unique rarities and almost unstoppable forces in the original series - metalbending and chi blocking - are commonplace in Korra. She's got some tough opposition. Apparently Sifu Kisu is coming back for this series and is doing some mixed martial arts and more modern/hybrid techniques instead of the traditional four disciplines he did for the old series. And we can expect a decent amount of Le Parkour, considering this is a bustling metropolis.

"War doesn't prove who's right, only who's left." "Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future."Here's pretty much every picture from the panel. Is it just me or is Mako super dreamy? Damn Bryke and their hot brooding characters!
I wonder how Aang is gonna appear to Korra whenever she enters the spirit world. I hope that we will be able to see him as a Cool Old Guy!
