The wish is father of the thought, dear shirow. :P
jk, jk.
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryI have never tried to hide the fact that I would make sweet, passionate love to the original Dante at the drop of a hat.

I'd rather let Asura hold me in his strong, manly, golden arms.
Watch SymphogearThis game will probably be remembered mostly for an antagonistic marketing strategy and the developers really missing the point.
When I saw those pictures, my response was basically, "That's what they think is cool? When I go out I see a ton of people dressed like that and they're basically just visual static. The look is just that common."
Also, the people on the left, while they look really over the top and silly, they look interesting which is a huge plus for me.
EDIT: fixed a word. Thanks Shirow.

Not Three Laws compliant.I want Dante, Sol, and Ragna to be the members of my homoerotic harem.
What bands are those in the second pic?
Time to leave them all behindAdd Taokaka into that list and you've got my ideal harem. :P
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryMy Harem of video game characters would be Real! Dante, Sol Bad Guy, Asura, Bayonetta, Litchi Faye Lin, Jack Cayman, amaterasu, and Doomguy.
Watch SymphogearYou can't have Bayonetta as part of your harem. She's the one with the harem. If you lick her boots, maybe she'll let you join.
x4 You mean left right?
Which Amaterasu? Because that's skirting bestiality and is kinda illegal.
Anyway, that last picture that Gunheart posted, I'd totally go with the cosplayers over the two street-people who I cannot identify. The cosplayers put work into making those costumes, and they travel with their friends to do things that take them out of the humdrum life. That's what I associate them with.
The two others, all I can think of is graffiti artists, and while they may make some interesting stuff, they also make a lot of generic crap too. (Same can be said of anime art too, btw)
Oh right. Add Bayonetta in there too. She can own me who owns the harem.

Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryAmaterasu is a goddess. She can be whatever she damn well pleases. Wonder what a fetish for deities is called. Divinephilia?
Human.
Donate money to Skullgirls, get a sweet poster.Deusphilia would work.
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryThat just makes me think of the final boss from Xenogears. Do not want.
Not Three Laws compliant.Deiphilia?

Welp, there goes any chance of the Dm C page being unlocked during my lifetime.
I've never seen a developer act so spiteful against it's predecessors. Whenever I see a reboot or reimaging of something (like Thundercats), most of the time I can feel that those involved had some love for the original concept.
Ninja Theory, on the other hand, has nothing but contempt for Devil May Cry, and by constantly hating on it in favor of their "Shakespearean " Dm C, they are just shooting themselves in the foot. They don't have to like the previous Devil May Crys, but they shouldn't be lashing out against the fanbase so negatively like that.
Funny enough, Hudson tried to defend Bomberman Act Zero like this, dissing the previous art style and even trying to cater this to a certain demographic. We know how that turned out.
"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!Nope. Bayonetta pretends to own the harem.
Watch SymphogearThat's just wanting to bone angels.
Donate money to Skullgirls, get a sweet poster.Fortunately, Hudson wised up and did a Take That! towards that abomination.
Time to leave them all behindI'm up for the Bayonetta harem. But then, who isn't?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I think the really puzzling part about all this is that some old DMC fans still like the reboot, despite whatever NT said about them. Either they don't know about it, they don't care, or they think the game's good enough to ignore those things.
Nah, I can understand that. They have differing tastes in what makes a good game, and that's fine, that's their perrogative. It's not impossible to like both old DMC and new Dm C.
What I can't understand is why NT was so goddamn antagonistic to the people who would be most likely to buy their game.
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryMaybe they wanted a different audience, like the infamous "Call of Duty crowd"?
Anyway, based off those pictures, it appears that Ninja Theory had no sense of style or taste, in addition to all the homophobic, antagonistic, and arrogant crap they pulled to market the game.
For some reason (which might be related to the stuff above), I'm hoping that this game digs Ninja Theory's grave.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.
They did throw Dante into a Brokeback Mountain picture, so even if they didn't say it outright the implication is still there.
Personally, my headcanon has always been that Dante was bisexual. Don't even know why. Maybe it's the flamboyance.
