Augh. the only downside to aiming for the Good ending on playthrough 1 and waiting to do the true ending for playthru 2 of Persona 4 Golden. You have to wade through all the stuff on the way to the final ending marker anyhow.

Because.

Alright. With Akihiko in the party, I can hit all the basic weaknesses, plus Light, if I'm using Unicorn, because the Unicorn I had got Bufu.

At that point, especially in Golden when it's just two dungeons back to back, one can feel burned out and want to get it done and over with.

Of course, it helps when one doesn't play through the game four times over in quick succession beforehand.

That as well but I never experienced that in Portable to the extent that I did in Golden.

Fair enough. But then, Persona 3 Portable has Mitsuru.

Mostly because I didnt complete all the social links or trigger the extra dungeon. And when I do the true ending, I want the extra dungeon done as well for the Golden ending.

You don't get the original credits added to the listings if you get the new epilogue.

Which SUCKS, because while the reincarnation is nice, I prefer the original never more.

Wow. You guys have seen that comic about the Persona 3 protagonist being a total asshole and not forming a single bond all year, right? Imagine my surprise when I find out that a good number of the jokes made in that little comic are verbatim lines that you ca choose during Social Link events.

Not that I'm choosing those lines, of coure.

Yeah, the MaleC can be a much bigger asshole than Yu or the FeMC. They can have their moments, but he seems to get one every other choice.

Yeah, there's only a few choices that aren't things you can really do. Like obviously you can't cut down the persimmon tree, but you can laugh at Kenji.

You're willing to go through nine events with him plus meeting up with him just for points just so you can laugh at him once and then break your magician link so you can never get more bonus exp?

No. That would involve talking to Kenji for more than five minutes. But I like that they gave me the option.

No matter how you feel about the guy, encouraging him like that only so you can laugh in his face when it inevitably falls to pieces is just pointlessly cruel.

Don't worry, hun. There are other things to do to him. But by that point, his heart has been trampled on. No being a jerk to a heartbroken guy.

I guess... Just don't expect me to be doing his social link any time soon. Or at all.
