-nods- She can be peppy if need be but it appears to me to be mostly a mask to hide her inner snarker self.
Though...she'll get a lot less snarky come social link time.
I admit most of my knowledge of the FeMC is secondhand, but I want to say that deep down, she and the male MC are the same character, however, they each put up a different facade to face the world. The male puts up a more stoic persona, while the female puts up a more cheery one, but deep down they are both the same solemn yet kind person. If that makes sense.
Of course, I could just be talking out my ass now.

Yeah.
Yu's a lot less of a sulker. And he's actually pretty helpful, despite being rather stoic- You get far fewer "mean" dialogue options as Yu than as MaleC.

I could see both P3 protags having the same values, but not different ways of expressing the same personality. A really easy example to point to is FeMC having the option to just kill Takaya.
...Well, I guess when you think about it that means their values don't match up entirely either.
