Re: Fanart: According to Persona 2, Izanami is basically over her grudge with Izanagi, and actually wants to reunite with him, but can't due to their now different domains (one is a death goddess in the underworld, while the other is a god of life in high heaven) Though that doesn't mean she might not try to test your meddle drawing from past experiences and old regrets...

what if you were minato incarnate and you romanced every girl?

does the love interest have to be part of the group?

if not how would the non-group LI's get into the tv world in the first place...how would it reverse their social links if you ran...

Actually I read somewhere (on this wiki though) that Yosuke was going to be the gay option, but this was cut for some reason.

Honestly, Kanji being the gay option doesn't make sense to me for some reason. I think his sexuality is best left ambiguous.

He probably is Bi The Way though, considering what his shadow is like, exaggerated as it may be, yet he likes Naoto a lot, even after being revealed to be a girl.

His Shadow was based on other people's views of him twisted with his own fears and suppressed emotions. All the Shadows are.

But they are still supposed to be a part of them, after all.

Other wise, they wouldn't of become the main characters Persona's to begin with.

I wonder, since Persona 4 was lighter then the previous Persona game,s do you think persona 5 will go the opposite direction instead?

And I would like to see Hindu Mythology used again, as I don't see why it's not okay to use it another time in a new Megami Tensei related game (Technically, Persona reused the original Idea of having Izanami in the plot akin to the original Digital Devil Story Novels).

Remember, we had an edit war saying wether or not Kanji was gay.

I think P4 uses Izanami completely differently than DDStory did though. In DDStory, she was probably closer to The Mentor, while here, well yeah.

And Shadows being affected by other people's interpretations of the person is something that's been around since Persona 2. And yes, they are still part of the person despite that. How people see you make up part of who you are, perception and all that I guess.

kanji's issues were not really about his sexuality. the exagerrated campness was from the perceptions of other people, but what shadow kanji is talking about is most certainly all him.

and what his shadow was talking about was almost entirely about feeling isolated and lonely because of his hobby.

there was a bit where the shadow was desperately trying to justify prefering men over women though (in a non-specific context; he could be either reffering to friendship or dating, whatever)

the question of his sexuality only really comes down to naoto. ie: did kanji subconsciously notice naoto was female (-shrug-) or, since he maintains interest even after she's revealed to be female, is he just If It's You, It's Okay (type 2, most likely since i didnt see a whole lot of an emotional connection between the two)? (did he ever actually show interest in anyone else...? ....did he ever show interest in teddie? beyond the fur i mean.)

@Current Topic: Kanji shows interest in exactly one person: Naoto. He did have a tiny bit of intrest in the guys at the camp out, and he did say the other girls were cute during the beauty pageant, but Naoto's the only one he actively crushes on. And Naoto, for what it's worth, doesn't rebuff him, something that's otherwise only true for Yu, if you choose to romance her. It's interesting how she mostly treats him with embarrassed nervousness than disdain or agitation.

The shipper in you is speaking there, I think. She rarely really commented on what Kanji was doing or saying.

so...i been thinking about that time kanji got a nosebleed looking at the girls (actually the guys as they got pushed into the water) and ive been wondering...

kanji was knocked out just the night before, and we dont exactly know where he was hit, just that it was hard enough to knock him out..

so...maybe the nosebleed was caused by chie after all...but via violence?

(this would also mean the girls pushed someone who not only wasnt part of the problem and didnt give them a backhanded compliment, but also for reasons that were their own fault. this only reinforces my theory that everyone on the team is a dick except for kanji and naoto.)

...I never liked that trope.

ive gotten punched before hard enough to have a nosebleed. after the nosebleed stops it seems fine untill a few hours later when the nosebleed suddenly starts up again

thus im suggesting that when chie knocked kanji out during the camping trip she caused a nosebleed, and the nosebleed kanji got before they pushed him into the water was just the first nosebleed coming back.

Except that the facts and the theory don't match up.
