Seriously, I can't quite handle Rie Kugimiya as Rise.

Her and Kana Hanazawa, I don't get why people go gaga over them.

I like Kana Hana a lot but not really in her depressing roles like Marie. She is great say playing the lovable sadist Raphi in Gabriel Dropout.

Isn't the Japanese voice of Inuyasha in one of these games as a main character? I never could listen to him for very long and he's apparently a pretty prolific and legendary VA.

On an unrelated note, multiple people have talked about Alice being great in P3 and I think P4. I never managed to fuse her in either game. I can only guess she's an S Link max Persona and I never found whatever S Link gives her as a reward.

He voices Teddie, and I think this voice suits the character better than the English one.

Rie Kugimiya was perfect as Rise in the original P4, but for some reason she started getting squeakier and squeakier with every subsequent game and adaptation and now it is not that great. Even then, while I like Laura Bailey's voice over, I prefer Rie.

Teddie's english voice annoys the fuck out of me, it's fine when he is on costume, but it doesn't match at all his face out of costume.

Chie's original english voice was a miscasting travesty, Erin Fitzgerald fits the character waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

I did come to absolutely love Chie and I think Ms. Fitzgerald is a big reason for that. She's really one of the best VA's out there and it's a shame I've only seen her in two games.

Not so, actually. Little Miss Die-For-Me's Death Arcana, so you wouldn't have a chance to miss her in P3 if she was a slink reward. In 3, you need to do a four-card fusion to summon her, which requires a) checking Igor's special fusions menu a bunch to see if any of the guys you have right now are ingredients for any of the four-card fusions or b) looking it up online because fuck that noise. In 4 she's high level but doesn't take anything special to fuse, so I guess it's just coincidence.

Alice is a special fusion, iirc. Belial x... something.

Belial and Nebiros, I believe.

In P4, yes, Alice is a special normal spread fusion between Belial and Nebiros, in reference to them adopting her in SMT1. She's a cross spread in P3, and one of her materials requires one of the rewards from one of Elizabeth's dates.

It's a bit of a running joke for her, in Raidou 2 they were her babysitters.

They were her caretakers in Shin Megami Tensei for the Super Famicom, too.

And in Devil Survivor 2.

Correct. Nebiros is a Bonus Boss in Devil Survivor 1, while Belial is a mandatory fight if Haru is alive.

I love Chie's second voice actress. Fits the character super well.

Overall the English Voice Acting is pretty great... barring Fuuka in P3.

Wendee Lee did a really good job as her in Q and the Arena games, at least.

You can tell the Velvet Room is a warm and friendly place.

Also surprised they haven't revealed Igor is the Fool Confidant.

Man, the P4 side of Q really is terrible. Ha Ha Ha, Naoto mixed the girls' cooking together and killed an FOE with it by firing it out of a crossbow at them Ha Ha Ha such humor, girls that can't cook, what an absurd notion.

As someone who's been brutalized by FOEs several times while playing Etrian Odyssey, any joke that involves the One-Hit Kill of an FOE will very likely get a chuckle out of me.

All the same, I get being tired of that particular joke.

At least P4 side doesn't resolve the same conflict that is resolved in the main game. Also, fuck the 4th labyrinth and everything in it.
