I think a lot of it has to do with, good or bad, with more anime in production than in the past you're going to get more crap as a result.

Question about P5: Does it do what Apocalypse did and made Mudo/Hama do some damage? Because that was a small change that improved the game immensely.

No, but they did bring back the Dark and Light damage skills from early Persona games. I think they were Eiha and Kouha, respectively.

Eiha and Kouha are Curse and Blessing, respectively. The animation is kind of bloody-looking for the former, but I haven't seen the latter yet.

That sort of thing is pretty standard for Japanese media. The Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt bluray is $90 for a 70 minute OVA. Whenever something gets a simultaneous release in Japan and North America, they match the North American price to the Japanese price (even though that makes it absurdly expensive by North American standards) because otherwise the Japanese customers would save themselves a ton of money by just buying the North American release. Pretty much the only exception is when it's region locked (and Japan and North America are in different regions — they aren't always) or when they do something like remove the Japanese audio track from the North American version.

It's a supply and demand issue but that should be a 25% price increase, not a 120% increase.

All those VA's from Apocalypse in P5. Will now associate Ryuji with My Shin Megami Tensei.

I guess one of the part-time jobs the P 5 MC takes on is announcing for Smash.

With Troy Baker getting Unionized, I guess that opened up more jobs for Mercer.
