Gotta be honest, I think the number of P1/P2 fans who'd get upset about them being reimagined as P3-4-5 style dating sim hybrids would be outweighed by the number who like that the games are being acknowledged again.
I sure said that! It's a common wish for an updated version of Persona 1/2 to come out.
... and really updated, not half-assed like the PSP update. Lots of people love the story, the characters, the Personas, and the lore but the gameplay is... yeah. Difficult to defend.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Yeah, I would not want to see that either. The first 3 persona games are fine as they are.
The second bit already happened in Innocent Sin.

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I wouldn't mind if they had a remake that kept the original story. I don't see the dating sim mechanics as something integral to the series, just as a unique mechanic that future instalments really should have.
What I hate about those games is their intolerably broken gameplay. That is in dire need of a revamp.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I kinda dig just how janky and amateurish P1's combat is, but yeah, I mostly agree.
I sure said that!Huh. I spotted the similarities between the two things where Tarot-themed bits of your soul punch people, but it hadn't occurred to me to match Jojo parts up with Persona games.
- The first one has an evil mask and serious technical issues.
- The second one has Nazis and horrors out of the past (these overlap in Persona), and the protagonist harnesses the power of bullshitting wildly.
- The third one introduces a new element that gives the franchise a popularity boost and becomes what it's known for. It also has fanatic, supernatural assassins and a canine party member.
- The fourth one is about identifying a supernatural serial killer in between faffing about randomly.
They resolved a problem about a hundredth the size of what SEES faced on a thousandth of the budget, though. Gotta give them credit for being much more economically viable as a Shadowbuster force.
I sure said that!Despite being a gang leader, Yu is a much more productive member of society in general than Headphones. He'd rather while away an evening reading improving literature or being gainfully employed than frittering away his money at karaoke or the arcade. Truly, small towns breed work ethic while the big city produces only indolent wastrels.
Quality post.
So looks like 5 MC will have part time job too. Though I'm kind of expecting a sort of daily regimen on training as a thief.
He's seen batting & wailing on a training dummy. Its most likely exercising for his night-time job.
Also do we have a vague idea of the western release date?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Nothing hard, but given how these things tend to go, expect the English version at its earliest by very late Q1 2017, probably closer to mid-Q2.
I sure said that! The "Queen" remind anyone else of Mary Elizabeth "Ramona Flowers" Winstead? The bangs and eyebrows look similar to me. As a fan of hers (she actually plays the female character in my current avatar), I approve.

Remember to turn on the captions to actually see the subtitles.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Man, why did Atlus unpersoned Generic-kun?
Dressed to Kill.I will be honest, not really sure I like the new battle UI.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Only logical reason would be that he's super important to the story beyond his contribution to the team. Wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be an investigator who's originally antagonistic towards the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.r/Megaten was speculating he might be a grown-up Ken Amada.
Heh that actually seems pretty plausible.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I don't think they're gonna be that blatant with the cameos from previous games in the series. They were also speculating that the voice that was interrogating Chairy was either Mitsuru or Naoto, but neither sound enough like the voice for either to be plausible.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.I mean at this point in the timeline they'd both be older and probably have had their voices become more mature as a result.
I haven't listened to their japanese voice actors much though so i can't say for sure.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeIt didn't sound like Rie Tanaka or Romi Paku.
Cameos are nice, but it's probably someone new.
Well its not like anyone has to return in a major way anyway. I can assume we will get another Arena-crossover game at some point in the future.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Well that's kind of what they're doing with 5. Minus the upsetting everyone.
