It's only random if you end a battle without fulling any of those conditions.
In P3 it's fixed like that yeah.
P4 it's a higher chance type thing if you do get the KB. P 3 P though I think is also on the higher chance system instead of being purely fixed.
Light and Dark become worth it via the second tier of spells and get even better with the second tier of hit all spells, light and dark boost help as well. If you get the final tier light and dark though they can not miss on an enemy weak to it.

One thing who annoy me a lot. is who P4's characters just have their Character Development in SL and the plot of the game never become the core.
The core of P4 are the SL. And considering how the characters are..is bad. Some ones say who the P4 cast is "just a bunch of tropes and cliches from post-2005 anime". And while this isn't true..has a point. Delete the SL system and just Teddie get full development. The rest..eh. The P3 cast has Character Arcs of his own, the P4 cast just have SL`s.
Is so sad. A friend of mine say who if Yu has sacrificated himself like Makoto/Minato/The Douchebag who let his girfriends after sex and the P4`s crew would had his equivalent of "The Answer". They aren't fighting about the idea of revive him. They just do it.
I just say the thing who my friends say. I like discuses their ideas.
Watch me destroying my countryThe way the SL system was set up was deliberate.
If you set it up differently it loses some of the meaning behind your actions and the overall point of the game.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeMelon: I'm playing on Easy. I would have gone Normal, but I just finished a 30 hour RPG over the weekend and played through Gitaroo Man Lives on normal for the last few days. Given the option to take it easy on a new game after a rough RPG final boss and the entirety of Gitaroo Man with the PSP's stick, there was no way that I was gonna pass on it.
Do characters say your name often? I actually cracked up when Yukari called me "Sponge-kun" after getting out of the hospital.
Often enough, I think.
It's a regular thing, yeah. It's obviously not voiced, so nicknames and pronouns come up a lot then, but you'll be called your name plenty.
I sure said that! The P3 cast often didn't have a good way of referring to the protagonist. P4 got around not having a way to voice your name by having half of the Scoobies call you senpai while Yosuke just calls you partner all the time. That still left Yukiko and Chie unaccounted for, though, but I think they generally just called you 'the leader' when they had to refer to you.

Always bugged me when they'd say my name in the text, but just not say anything when they're reading the same sentence aloud.
This must've been more in P4, since I think it had more voiced cutscenes.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. Not really, voiced cutscenes avoided that greatly, even King Moron called you a 'sad sack' and loser.
Chie and Yukiko got around it mostly by talking directly to you using 'you', leader or refer to the group. Dojima is the only one that really had problems.
The unvoiced name thing happened maybe twice over the whole game.

Now I remember, it was Shin Megami Tensei IV that was really bad about it.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I actually don't mind that all that much.
Oh God! Natural light!Yeah, it wasn't bad at all.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI made another badass Siegfried, this time on my "Persona 3 Golden" run.

and I junked up it's stats with King cards so it now has 88 St and 54 Lu. I'm currently building up it's Ag with the Arcade as well.
Crap I dropped this thread from my Watchlist.
Okay what did I miss?
We talked about this Persona game for a bit. Well, there's more than one I suppose.
Months ago. I don't even know how I lost track of this thread.
Nothing happened, no.
Uh, P5 P Vs and its out next year.
Remember to spoil P4 now, Q and DAN are pretty legit
To clarify that for Echoing Silence, I'm currently doing my first playthrough of Persona 4, so what he meant was use spoiler tags for P4 stuff. Also, someone else just started doing their first P3 playthrough, so spoiler tag that stuff too. And it occurs to me that since we're going to discussing two different things in spoiler tags, we should probably make it clear which spoiler-y topic we're talking about with any given spoiler tag. I know I'm not going to risk accidentally spoilering P4 when I've gotten this far without managing it yet.
Anyway, I was planning on playing some more P4 today, but my 12-hour turnaround (get home from Charleston, SC at 6:00 PM, leave for Birmingham, AL at 6:00 AM) got turned into a 7-hour turnaround because my flight home got diverted due to weather and then cancelled, so I had to wait for the next flight out. Fun! Random schlub will have to chill in the TV world without me for a while.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. You might remember Schlub from somewhere before in the game, though!
I sure said that!My "Persona 3 Golden" run is reaching a close. I'm in the last month of the game, which is all I'll say due to Mr. Mallard playing Persona 3 Portable for the first time.
Yeah make sure nobody spoils him on [[spoiler:Mitsuru being unable to eat a hamburger.] That kind of thing would just ruin the rest of the game for him.
Edit: Also advice. In combat, hitting weaknesses is god. Try to always have fire, wind, ice, and lightning attacks in the party.
Light and darkness attacks don't hit often enough to really be worth it, at least in vanilla P3.
Random level bosses in Tartarus being harder than the storyline bosses is perfectly normal.
