Fun fact: Touhoumon used that exact same puzzle, except it was way longer.

Oh, I figured that part out. What I can't get is how you're supposed to go through the doors in the right order. Like, there's no way to go from 9 to 3 without passing through 6 or 12.

the latter more or less makes some sense, but zhn? none at all.

Also, besides the odd colored skin and stiches, the Calm and Caring Nurse are the most human looking shadows in the artbook.

Oh and there was going to be a doll FOE impaled by a huge spike with shadow stuff around and carrying a bloodstained knife. Shame they didn't use it.

Now I'm stuck navigating around the Lovely Dolls. It's not too bad, since I can beat them, but I'd still prefer not to because it's time consuming, expensive, and relies too much on Tentarafoo.

At this point I think my hate for the Evil Spirit Club has gone beyond hate into heretofore uncharted valleys of loathing.

Oh boy, in my opinion the Evil spirit club had NOTHING on the next dungeon. I got so fed up with it I had to take a break from Persona Q.

...I liked both of those dungeons. Although I'll admit that I solved one of the Labyrinth 3 puzzles completely by accident while walking around.

It's not the puzzles, it's the stupid door-blocking two-space moving chase you everywhere FOE. At one point I just decided to fight it and ate a Mamudoon to the face for my troubles. Just before I beat it, too. I had to go lie down in a dark room for a couple of hours.

I just killed it. Probably helps that the P4 protagonist is immune to Mudo though. Personally I found Diarahan more frustrating than Mamudoon though. Basically you have to keep it permanently MA-bound or panicked. I've heard you're supposed to trap it between two lights or something like that though. I mean, well, running away from FOEs is a puzzle in this game.

I had no trouble with door-blocker guy on the first floor. Are there more of him later?

Since the artbook showed up, some anons pointed out that some of those comments on those pics with Yu and MC aren't right.

Here are the accurate translations:

MC

• Yu: ”We’re the guardian deities of Yasogami High, ho!” (So he’s being very Jack Frost-like there.)
• Chie: ”I want to eat sea horses! Take me!”
• Junpei: “Let me be the leader every now and then!”
• Yukari & Yosuke aren't calling MC an idiot, they're referring to his cluelessness/strange comments
• Aki is saying that maintaining good health is important
• Kanji is saying MC's 'whatever' catchphrase is badass, not like a pansy.
• Mitsuru's saying 'as expected of a wild card'

Yu

• Junpei is referring to Yu crossdressing as a female bancho
• Mitsuru isn't using wild in the literal sense
• Shinjiro is saying eating burnt eggs isn't good for you (reference to P4 Side)
• Kanji: "Senpai, wherever you go, I'm goin with!"
• Zen: I see that everyone really admires him.
• Rei is saying the typical greeting yoroshiku
• Elizabeth and Margaret are referring to the Escort Escalate event on P4 Side

Man, the game moves slow when you spend your time grinding. I'm only on to 1/5, but my MC is up to level 82, and the rest of the party is between 70 and 75. I also spent some time going through and fusing all the personas that weren't in my compendium yet — now the only ones I don't have are either too high level, or I didn't finish their social link.

With the winter break keeping me from any of the school social links for the first week of January, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to finish anything. Priestess and Justice are both at 7 or 8, Empress is only at like level 2 or 3, and I haven't even started Aeon yet. (When does that even become available?) Hanged Man is at 9, so I should be able to finish that, but Magician, Moon, and Emperor are all at 5 or 6 and I've pretty much given up on them. Sun is at 4, and Star is only at 2... yeah, I'm gonna need to do a New Game Plus to get all the social links completed properly. What exactly transfers over on a New Game+ file? If levels and persona and stuff carry over (so that I can skip grinding entirely and just roflstomp all the combat parts of the game) I might honestly end up doing a full social link run as soon as I finish The Answer.

New game starts with the main character at the level he was in the final save, all his weapons, money, the main character's social status, any items gained from maxing out a social link, and a record of all personas registered in the compendium. Persona 3 Portable's New Game Plus also includes the option to choose which person you spend your dying moments with at the end, provided you maxed their Social Link and for the Female Protagonist, made it romantic.

OK, so. I'm at the bit with the abc puzzle four rooms, and I'm completely stumped.

At least navigating Rei around in the dark is pretty easy. It's just a slidy block ice puzzle with a different face.

KAY! Finally done with the Awful Spirit Club. Compared to the rest of it, the boss was pretty easy. I fused a Lilith that I'm probably keeping for a while, since she has Impure Reach, Poison Breath and two bindy circles.

Also I got an Alraune with Salome's Kiss. That's a pretty awesome spell.

That ABC puzzle pissed me off so much because after I looked it up on the net I felt like an idiot for not getting it the first time. I usually am really good with puzzles too. :(
