Persona series

... I don't know what you guys are talking about. This seems like a pretty Persona-ish thing to end on.

And I doubt it'll be imported to P5- The games are likely to all be standalone, y'know?

Back when me and a friend of mine were brainstorming ideas for Persona 5, we got this crazy idea that adult Naoto gets involved in the middle of the story and is REALLY overpowered party member, but gets injured or killed or something and leaves after a while.

I'm fully anticipating references to first five games in P5, just not something on-par with a party member from a previous game. More Trish's talk show or a class trip to Gekkoukan, y'know?

As much as I would like to see Labrys or Sho pop up...I do very much want it to be a standalone thing.

After skimming through a couple of spoilers, I have to ask to the people who read the whole script: does the P3 cast accomplish anything of value? Aside from Aigis getting jobbed to make Yu look cool.

The story of Arena 1 was mostly about the Shadow Ops, with the Investigation Team getting more dragged along without really knowing what was happening. I guess this is only fair.

yeah i dont like ketchup so i just push the lungs over to the side of the plate.

which is hard, because the lungs are really quite large. they take up quite a sizable portion of the plate, really.

Still waiting on when P5 is gonna come out. Winter 2014 is looking more and more like a BS date, considering Dancing All Night isn't out yet.

Just remember that Winter 2014 stretches to February/Early March 2015, same thing happened with Catherine which also had a date of Winter 2014 at first, but then came out February 17th.

So, in logic, we got like up to 7 months for them to still reveal info. P4 DAN on the other hand is Fall 2014, meaning that if they're gonna start advertising it once Ultimax is out of Japanese doors, they'll probably start in September and release in the span of October-November.

Seems like a short amount of time, but also remember that info for Ultimax only really started up when Persona Q went out the door, which was in July, just a mere month ago.

Since the premise for P4 DAN is really really simple, it probably won't need much time to advertise. There probably won't be any need for bi-weekly character trailers, so maybe something about the mechanics, an issue in Famitsu, and a basic, more thorough explanation of the plot and it'll be ready to ship out whenever.

So, all in all, given that they start advertising P5 starting from the latest possible point of DAN's release, November, and they still have around 3 months. More time than any of the other games released this year.

EDIT: Also, just a final bit on the topic of Ultimax FINAL BOSS I'm glad people here are actually taking it fairly well, since most people on other boards are screaming pure vitrol at anything having to do with Ultimax's plot points in the slightest. Many, who I'm guessing were really hoping for Nyarly, are so enraged that they think Hashino's just a hack who ripped off Tadashi's villain, equating Kagutsuchi to nothing but a mere rip off of Nyarly, and failing to see any of the notable differences between the two.>_>

Like seriously, part of it is just misinformation, and part of it is butthurt fans that spread even more misinformation. People started coming up with the idea that Kagutsuchi is referred to as 'Crawling Chaos', but I've rooted through the entire script and found nothing even placing those words in the same sentence. People also apparently think that the Japanese voice actor for ME was the same person who voiced Nyarly years ago, when I'm pretty sure that's already far been disproven. The only actor shared is the American one, Patrick Seitz, who is known for basically voicing any kind of dramatic or evil character in anime/gaming.

I don't like the ME's true identity, but that's less because he isn't Nyarly and more because I just kinda found it underwhelming. Like I said, the ME kinda reeks of cobbled together recycled ideas to me.

But hey, the Sho stuff seems legitimately interesting, so if the rest of the plot is good, I'll let it slide.
