So, what are your favorite manga and anime villains?

Hidan , Solely for his laugh in the anime. Plus, he's an immortal masochistic zealot with a sailor mouth. What's not to love?

And not in that way, more of this way.

Not a pure villain, but Yukio Oikawa was always a favourite of mine because he's such a tragic character underneath all the possession-induced evil.

Char Aznable and Lordgenome come to mind. And Lelouch, if he counts as a villain.

I guess it is.

Gauron and Gates.

I like that series more for the antagonists than anything, I think.

Gauron was pretty cool (in a psychotic way), but I didn't really like Gates. He tries too hard to be, well, Gauron.

I guess it is.

Char Aznable. He's got style.

I think anime in general tends to have pretty lacklustre villains actually.

Although I think Orochimaru was both visually interesting and creepy enough to qualify.

Hmmm, who else?

No, that's Donflamingo, who is wearing a Boa. Blackbeard is just an incredibly huge guy.

Amber is pretty cool, if she counts as a villain (it's kinda hard to tell in that show).

I guess it is.

...you're right. I stand corrected.

Melvin is the best villain of them all though.

Other than him, Sakyo in Yu Yu Hakusho. How many villains have the balls enough to not only put their life on the line but then calmly accept death when they lose? Not many. He seemed to be one of the more realistic depictions of a psychopath. in anime.

Johann seconded. Also #13 from 20th Century Boys. Who would've thought that gawky, scrawny kid would turn into a badass, fairly good-looking assassin?

Oh, and King Bradley.

Manga!Bradley or Anime!Bradley? I consider Bradley the only Homunculus who is more interesting in the manga than in the anime.
