I don't know about that. The video sure looks like it could be an OP or ED for a new season so I wouldn't be surprised if this was a stealth advertisement for such a thing. The second season came out of nowhere after all.

I speak Japanese. It's an ad for the '707 fragments of Haruhi's memory' ARG mentioned here first.

That doesn't mean the game itself isn't a leadup to something big, but this video only details the game.

I was under the impression that the game was finished and that that was the end result of it.

Still, I don't think they'd reuse a song from the first season for an OP or ED.

If for some reason they hide the season 3 announcement inside the pachinko machine programming, I'll do something stupid that I'll regret.

FU Ni just announced they now have the distribution rights to all of Haruhi Suzumiya. Nothing 'new' announced tho.

Yeah, I should stop getting my hopes up when I see this thread bumped.

There does seem to be something going on in regards to that Haruhi Hunting thing. Nothing has panned out yet though.

So, need advice. Would human sacrifices to O-Haruhi-Sama (Ia! she who slumbers in dread Nishinomiya! Suzumiya fhtagn!) hasten the arrival of the next season? Or will Kyoto Animation, like the Elder Gods, ignore our pleas and slumber on until the stars are right, whenever the hell that might be?

Not all of it — apparently the ink just dried for what we heard yesterday, so the movie's contract's still being negotiated and whatnot.

^Haruhi can't play guitar very well, but the leader of the band has to play guitar and sing. That's the way it works. Does Mikuru's look like a bass?

This opening gives the impression that the SOS Brigade is a group of friends racing past the imaginary stop signs of life, and I keep waiting for them to charge into Sasaki's group, who'd be going through their own signs, or picking up the ones that Haruhi knocked down, or...

I don't know, but it'd be some awesome, visual metaphor that highlighted the differences between both groups.

Possibly if we ever see a season 3.
