Oddly enough, the Gratuitous English page isn't self-demonstrating in the same way. The Anime and Manga folder is still called that.

So, uh... Yay, pointless observation?

This is the English part of the Wiki, so the only people speaking Japanese would likely be those who have to know it for work or live by Japan. That would be what? 15%-20% The Polynesian and Australian users? I supposed pot holes would work though.

[up][up] Because "comics" and "animated cartoons" are already categories, and intrinsically imply "Western" style. "Anime" and "manga" are the words we use in English to describe Japanese comics and Japanese cartoons.

I tried re-doing the titles according to what the crowner said. Is this acceptable? Can we lock the thread?

See you in the discussion pages.

On Topic: Vote for a lock.

It's honestly not that hard to open folders and have a look. The topics also parody Japanophiles, Martello.

It's fine but having Nippon no Anime and Gaijin No Anime would kind of confuse some tropers. I'd recommend changing Gaijin No Anime to Gaijin No Animation or something.

FYI, folders were changed to default to closed a few months back. Troper preferences override the defaults but logged out, they're all closed.

BTW, I'm a chick.

"Nothing worst than when people Pot Hole folders..."

Oh hey, thanks, I will never do that again.

Jack Mackerel, keeping them as they are is currently down -25. I think we're agreeing it's sort of bad the way it is.

I haven't seen a big change in vote totals over the last few days. Would anyone be opposed to calling for a three-day countdown on this one?

Uh...I already changed the folders to fit the rubric with the most votes in the crowner. This was what I wrote in post # 29.

I'm going to ask again for a lock- any revisions made to the folders at this points would be comparably minor ones.

See you in the discussion pages.
