I'm no expert on the body, but it seems logical (to me at least) that having less leg for the blood to rush into would mean that less blood could rush into the legs, meaning that more of it would stay in higher areas of the body. Like the brain.

And by always, I mean never! ...it seriously never stood out as odd to me until just now.

I jumped directly from RBY (which didn't have berries) to X/Y (where they don't disappear), so I never noticed either.

They disappear in XY.

Also, they transition in growth stages by Pokémon Evolution; they're ingulfed in a shiny light and then they're in their next stage. It's fun to watch, but rare to see because you have to time it just right.

I caught it once because I was halfway through watering the big crop field in XY when suddenly they started popping into next phase.

Same here. Video game logic is amazing. The most absurd things go unnoticed if they make sense within the game mechanics.

Ah, you (and the comic) meant the small berry shrubberies you cultivate?

I was thinking of the big berry trees where you find your first of each berry type.
