Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Is it okay to create a sockpuppet character if I tell everyone beforehand I'm going to?
I may or may not, but.... curious.
Kudos to you!

So, y'alls were talking about film criticism earlier, and although I'm late, I'd like to link this relevant video.
Essentially, Patrick Willems here is arguing that film critics are important to expose the average audience to different viewpoints, help the audience understand how film itself works, and encourage critical thinking.
The possum is a potential perpetrator; he did place possum poo in the plum pot.It's a phenomenal video, too much have I been told that something is good or bad without going into the nitty gritty. It will either make you appreciate things more or less.
Aw man, only now I remember a good song I should have listened to when writing the Nightmare Sequences: the theme song for The X-Files. >.< ^_^;;
I like to keep my audience riveted.Weird Al DOES look like TinyTim what the hell
New theme music also a boxI was always iffy on being a comic writer because then I would have to write stories for characters I didn't make or care about. However, I would enjoy writing something for Judge Dredd.
...Nah I want an R-rated hand-animated film.
Life is hard, that's why no one survives.I wish that the Fine brothers went through with (whatever they wanted to with, I'm too lazy to look it up) the word "react". Sure, they might be unfairly claiming videos but at the same time, the majority despises reaction videos. This would cause a decrease the amount of said videos and have their monetization from ads removed.
That said, copyright deadlock comes into play. Reaction videos tend to not be constructive so a company has every right to claim a video featuring footage of their watchable media (not good with words but I'm sure you get it). That said, the Fines would then claim the video and because of how the system doesn't work, neither them nor the company would get revenue from the video and the video creator could still make an income from donation sites.
I guess the best we can do is just spite, make arguments against, and hope reaction videos disappear. I personally don't care, I just avoid them and feel better with my lack of anger. Regardless, this was stuck in my head and I felt like sharing it.
For some reason, I find myself wishing I was on vacation in either Hawaii or Jamaica. ^_^;;
I like to keep my audience riveted.Even with the volcano?
I'll wait on the first one.
I like to keep my audience riveted.I can vouch for Jamaica, it's awesome there. Check out the Blue Hole if you're a decent swimmer.
-looks it up- That does look fantastically amazing. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.I would go so far as to call it the greatest rush I've ever experienced.
I can't give a damn about Star Wars. I was introduced to it through the original films and I couldn't get invested into it. I still find the original trilogy boring. I find the prequels boring. I find the sequels boring. None of it stands out, it all feels old fashioned and bland to me and even more so in today's day and age. That said, I am fully aware of the franchise's various impacts, both positive and negative and acknowledge it as such.
On the other hand, I adore the cgi Clone Wars series. While it fumbled in the beginning, it proved itself to be a phenomenal animated show. It did justice to what many consider "the worst thing ever" by adapting it into something very likeable to the point that I lack spite towards these characters and concepts. I would even go to say that my around 120 episode experience was worth three abysmal films, unfaithful interpretations, and unnecessary edits. That said, I can't help but feel sympathy for the upset fans and would rather be in a positive environment than consume media I enjoy.

Starting to wish I lived on the mainland... better places to eat over there, and more of them too.

Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.Watching Pan's Labyrinth for the first time,i've heard a lot about this film,maybe I should get some popcorn
New theme music also a boxHey,so weird thought
Would it be fair to say since Rick and Morty appeared in the Simpsons as a coach gag that they're now as mainstream as the Simpsons are?
this is the one I'm talking about
New theme music also a boxno.
not everything that appears on the simpsons is as mainstream as the simpsons, it just means it might be as mainstream as all the other things reference... possibly.

New theme music also a box"Embrace the probability of your imminent death, and know, in your heart, that there's nothing I can do to save you. " is a really funny line in-context. It was probably meant to be? Maybe not? I laughed, anyway.
Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.I'm disappointed to learn Hunger Games not about people competing for snacks
New theme music also a boxDoes anyone know why autocomplete doesn't work on the TV Tropes search bar in Chrome? It works for every other browser.
Batman needs to use his wealth to hire the Punisher. Bruce Wayne may not be able to kill, but Frank Castle sure can.
