Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

They ditched all that legacy crap, and made it conform to standards. Plus, I did a test, and it ran at 0.2 GB of RAM, with Chrome (no extensions at all - a clean run) ran the same tabs at 1 GB of RAM. For reference, the tabs were this page, a You Tube video, and an article from The Verge.
Not a precise test, but it shows a general thing.
Edit: There appears to be a weird bug where nothing will download from the Store. Weird.

So, if I install Windows 10 over Windows 8, it just replaces everything, right? I don't have to do a complete clean install if I don't want hard drive bloat?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."You can choose to save your apps, programs, settings, and files from Windows 8.1; just your settings and files; or do a clean install.
I did the first, and it's pretty much like nothing changed (except for the whole OS, of course). You should also disable your antivirus before upgrading, because some of them may interfere with the upgrade process (I used Avast when I upgraded from 8 to 8.1, and that fucked over basically all of my programs).
Good to know.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."What if you're installing from Windows 7?
Oh really when?Should be the same for Windows 7.
Hmm, if I can wipe it all that might be good actually. I've got literally nothing of importance on this mildly stolen computer and good old fashioned wipe and reinstall would be great.
Now where to redeem my copy...
Oh really when?Well, time for me to hit the hay. Won't be back til Saturday, so don't have any interesting conversations without me.

@ Pops. Sounds like a plan.
Adding to what Hopey says: Be careful of Comodo Firewall as well, which is known for royally screwing things up.
"Did you expect somebody else?"A wipe would probably do my computer good, but I have too much stuff on it and don't really want to bother backing it all up.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Such is the magic of the Cloud.
Oh really when?I've never used it. It seemed like too much of a resource hog.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Well it's like I only use the cloud to save my Steam and Origin things. And my Chrome settings.
There's nothing on this computer I want.
Oh really when?Actually, cloud stuff is pretty good. One Drive is great. I didn't have to worry about losing my stuff; cos all my stuff is in the cloud. You get 30 GB free (and unlimited with Office 365, yaaay!).
Also, I am going to bed!!! Night.
Nighty night son.
Oh really when?Sometimes I wonder if anime, especially shonen action ones, is either unconsciously or consciously anti-intellectual.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here. You know, I really can't take people seriously anymore when they say they miss me. If you really missed me that much, you'd make more of an effort to see me or at least talk to me more than like twice a year. You don't get your "I'm a good friend" award from just commenting on something I posted on Facebook with a "lol miss you."
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Covering up the light doesn't seem to help, either. It's kinda like I have an internal alarm clock that notifies me when the power goes on or something. (That makes zero sense, probably…)
The other day I was watching this really awful- almost so bad it's good- rom com called Someone Like You. It had all the standard tropes. The overall tone made it clear that it was made in the 1990s. But when I looked it up, apparently it came out in March 2001. It's impressive how quickly the 'cultural tone ' of movies , at least, changed so quickly after 9/11.
It also makes the funny aneurysm moment where the lead couple buy an apartment with a view of the WTC even more harsher in hindsight
This Drift Spirits boss event gets even more ridiculously one-sided as it goes on. A boss with a car producing 200 HP more than mine? Really now?
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotIs it a funny aneurysm moment? Do they crack a joke about the towers getting attacked?
Do-does Edge conform to the Web Standards?
If not, then Microsoft clearly didn't learn their lesson about being a special snowflake from the IE era- that is, it makes everyone hate you.
If so, then hell fucking yes.
