I mean, music is literally meant to entertain. It is art that is meant for people to derive emotions from. That is the definition of entertainment, if you ask me.
I feel like art is all about, like, making you feel emotions. So when I say I like a song "because it's rad" or whatever, I mean "this piece of art makes me feel happy and upbeat." Or depending on the song, "this piece of art makes me feel like running into a battlefield while holding a laser sword made out of the power of friendship and riding a robot unicorn that spits lightning bolts."
I feel like that's important.
