Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Oh, god. I'm glad they didn't talk to us like that. My teacher naming her vagina (I've mentioned this some other time, right?) was kinda awkward too, though.
That is incredibly disturbing. I mean I know people do stuff like that for...some unknown reason but really that's not something one needs to share. It doesn't teach anybody anything useful.

I have to return some videotapes. My WallIt was a little like, "oh, I feel completely comfortable with talking about these things and it's all very natural and it's a good way to get to know your own body". I mean, good for her, but I still don't want to know that my 45-year-old teacher's vagina is called Nanna.
What's really weird, though, is that this was so very unexpected: she was actually a (practising) catholic, which isn't that common in Sweden, and just very... stiff, in general - we were worried that she was gonna talk about not having sex before marriage and that abortions are wrong, but this was even worse.

@guy "have fun"? What are you, some kind of sex-crazed addict? Sex should only be between a married man and woman for the sole purpose of procreation, in the missionary position, with the lights off, and with no pleasure on the part of the female!
...or the male either for that matter!

At least it wasn't something with meaning like "Liv" or something.

I have to return some videotapes. My WallMy sex ed was basically watching a lot of porn when I was 9ish then being shocked that it wasn't the norm when I was 12ish. Then I just read a whole lot of books on the subject before getting an actual class that taught me literally nothing about sex.
It was also one of those scare tactic classes, but I had fun making people uncomfortable during.
The worst part of it all, the first time anyone actually tried to actually teach me about sex was when I was fucking 14 years old. At that point there were probably things I could have taught them.
According to my 'sex ed', due to the gambler's fallacy, since condoms only work 99% of the time, that means that if you use them all the time they're guaranteed to fail at some point. The guy who told us this also taught ud the basics of debate and logic
We also had the puberty ed thing around 5th-ish Grade (can't remember exactly any more), and on 8th Grade we had similar class that Hopey described; explanations on how bodies work, how different types of protection work, briefing about the possible ST Ds you'll get and yes, how we should proceed with our first times.
I found out what sex was by looking it up in an encyclopedia in 6th grade.
Until then I only had a thought, "I wonder if that thing could go into the other thing...?"
Man, you guys must be really missing the nunnery.
Blog linkI recall not knowing thrusting was a thing until relatively late. The books usually described the process as "arousal (with no explanation of what that was) -> tab A in slot B -> ejaculation -> fertilization".
I don't know where I learned about the thrusting part, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't in anything meant to be educational.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI never went in there when it was around.
Me neither.
Blog linkI mean don't get me wrong I love talking about that subject, but is it really appropriate on this board of all places?
~Awkward Asexual taking a leave of absence till the topic shifts~
Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writersIt's not appropriate on the fora anywhere anymore! That's the tragedy of it.
I for one, prefer it that way. I'm a prude like that.
Blog linkI would like to add to this subject, but I know some aren't so comfortable with this subject, so I'll spoiler it.
Now, it's very possible that I just wasn't paying attention, but until about junior year after I was done with all the sex ed. (I was kinda a late bloomer) I didn't know erections existed or that sex was even pleasurable. It wasn't until I finally started to get urges that I really learned about sex, and how it's not just for making babies. And how did I figure out how pleasurable it could be? Why by watching porn of course!
Yeah, they really didn't teach it well huh. I like how the UK teaches it, going from what Hopey said.

Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756When did complaining about how Rock was better back in the old days become the standard way old people condemn new music? It used to be the praise of classical music, but now old people hold classic rock in the highest regard, and woe be to he who talks smack about the Beatles, led zeppelin, or Pink Floyd. "O My god kids don't know who led zeppelin is, today's music culture is degenerate compared to what I had growing up"! I swear I see this all the time
In another ten years, you'll get middle-aged people complaining about how rap was so much better back in the good old days.
Fresh-eyed movie blogPersonally I see more people insulting the Beatles now than I do praising them. Which is... weird.
Shit. I already do that.

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Yeah I've noticed we're already getting people like that. I never even liked rap. Rap is dumb. As for the Beatles, I guess its the hype backlash against everything they were built up as
I used to think rap was dumb. Then I realized I just didn't like modern rap.
Except for some Kanye West songs.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."
It's not in appropriate. We're just talking about how American sex ed is stupid and should be thrown in the fire.
