Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

I didn't know you liked them! How did you find out about them?
I can't remember. I know that the first song I heard was chocolate.

I think every story I read in my last literature class began or ended with DEATH.
I thought it was kind of funny, actually.

This has got to be a troll, right.
Also, who's the hostage? Is it me, or is it Hibiscus?
Man, I never knew my relationship was just a power-play along the lines of serious life-and-death situations!
You're obviously a monster Hopey. Be more bi!
... What.
I have absolutely no comprehension of what I'm reading here.

I AM LITERALLY OPPRESSING HIBISCUS WITH MY AFFECTION
I liked reading 1984. It wasn't even for a class, I just picked it up and started reading. But that's just me.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...There's a sci-fi ghetto?
Is the idea that sci-fi is only for nerds?
@Hopey: OH! Now it makes sense. Okay.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Hopey: With Tumblr I can't even tell anymore.
I still don't get it.
@ Mukodad. I've forced her into life-long slavery via the nefarious means of "commitment".
@ Jeff. -licks nose-
I remember being disappointed that I did not get to read Hamlet in my senior year of high school, even though I was told that I would. So one day I bought copy of it and read it, and I liked it. :)
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Shakespeare is great if you get past the antiquated language. Sadly, the antiquated language is very hard to get past.
If someone could make a Shakespeare adaptation that used more... contemporary dialogue while still keeping the message, and the depth, I would love to see it. (aside from The Lion King, obviously.)
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."But the language is part of the charm. :)
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue. It is. But if you don't understand it (and honestly, it's freaking impossible to understand a lot of the time) it's very hard to grasp it.
It also makes it a pain in the ass to act out.

THIS I DEMAND.
Also, I read through the Tempest recently and quite enjoyed it.
There's also stuff like the ones published by Folger Shakespeare Library where you have the text on one side, and definitions of words and explanations of certain references on the other.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I have never learned how to put boring "important" things like school and work before fun important things like fun.
I guess I'll have to really cram these last few weeks to get out of this semester, but it's going to hurt.
But maybe then, when I can start looking for work I care about, I'll realize what my priorities really are...? And be able to start focusing on other people too.
Siiiiiigh
I just stopped reading a webcomic because the author couldn't stop waving anvils around. It's rather sad, because the story was kind of interesting.
Awesome band.
