Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

It's brilliant

So much atmosphere, so many ways that the game rewards you for out-of-the-box thinking. So many different ways to solve the same problem.

Fuck, why is finding a damn job so difficult?

Because you need a job to get experience but you need experience to get a job.

Should've started with college.

College for a job, but money for college, but a job for money.

It's frustrating trying to get a job. I'd have a lot more job opportunities if I wasn't a few months away from graduating high school. Seems like every single job requires a HS diploma. I can see why drop-outs have such a hard time finding a job now. If I can't get a job now, I'm just hoping I can earn enough during June so I can go see Pocky in July.

A friend of mine once told me something bothersome about college...he heard a professor we both had say that the college degree of today is the high school diploma of the past.

...that irked me. >_>

Well you could apply for jobs now saying you'll have the diploma in a few months but that wouldn't help you get closer to Pocky...

Well, what kind of job are you going into?

Is it the sort of job that you can practice so you can get better at it?

If so, I think that that might be a better use for your time than posting here.

[up] I'm looking for a part-time job. Not being picky about what it is. I just need a job. Already sent my resume to a place about a week or so ago, no response. Still trying to find more places to apply to.

I'm fairly certain that I'm going to have to work multiple jobs during June after I graduate even if I do somehow get a job within the next month or so.

[up] Because selflessness, despite being a fantastic trait, is not the be and end all it's cracked up to be.

A brilliant thing, but not the shining light at the end of the tunnel of selfishness that people perceive it to be.

[up][up]

Reasons why selfishness is more common:

  • Being selfish is easier.
  • Money.
    • Negative headlines attract more attention, so these get more news coverage.
    • While not impossible, it's very hard to get rich through purely selfless means.
    • Selfless people are, well, generous, so they give some of their stuff away.
    • Meanwhile, selfish people don't have to worry about "silly other people" and therefore can spend it all on themselves.
  • Selfless people often get stepped all over and get tired of being selfless.
    • They also tend to take abuse without speaking up, which leads to them being scrapegoats.
  • The definition of selflessness is that you don't brag about it, therefore you won't see any selfless person going around telling people they're selfless.
    • In contrast, it's much easier to spot a selfish person, even from a distance.
