Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Yes, that video I believe.
Oh I'm so happy, you actually know what I'm talking about.
Reich says that you can't really call time the fourth dimension because you can't really call the first three respectively length, width and depth because you can turn them around.
So, I don't think it really says that Bryanton is wrong. In fact, Bryanton also says that it doesn't matter what you call a dimension, "a rose is a rose and all that".
Reich does mention separating spatial dimensions from temporal dimensions, but I don't know TOO much about the fighting, so.
That doesn't sound too much like fighting. :o Just the fans being silly I guess. :p
Also four spatial dimensions is a really cool thought. :3
I usually just think of time as the "Zeroeth dimension" or something.
You know if it can even exist devoid of any space. :o
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅYes, fans are crazy. That's true for any fandom. ;p
And really a point is the zeroth dimension. "Infinitely small, no length, width, or depth."
And I always think that a dimension has one more point than its own number to define it.
You need two points to define a one-dimensional line, three points for a two-dimensional triangle, four points for a three-dimensional tetrahedron, and I believe that you need five points for a four-dimensional five-cell.
Time dimensions are something totally apart from spatial.

I suppose, but it's easier to explain to people that way so they don't start thinking that the next step up (y'know, mathematically) from three spatial dimensions is one temporal one. :p
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅAs far as practical science goes, people just like to call the 4th time.
I read somewhere that time may just be a measurement of change than anything concrete, what with spacetime being curved and all. It's why I would think that a universe in which nothing moved could literally be timeless.
...I always appreciate how willing you are to talk to me Zersk. :P I can't find enough people as interested in this stuff.
Key: Yeah, but four spatial dimensions is more fun! :p I was talking to one guy at school who said he attempted to play 4-D Tic-Tac-Toe. :o Right after we finished playing 3-D Tic-Tac-Toe. :p
But it is interesting! :3 -Glomps- X3
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅMe and my dad had a tangential argument the other day.
I said that time is always relative, but he said that time is constant, and only our perception of it is relative.
Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.Well that's silly, because we've observed it to be relative. :3 The GPS systems are built on timekeeping to tell you where you are, and they had to be corrected according to relativity to work. :p
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅ-glomped- Hehe. -tickles- But yeah, four spatial dimensions WOULD be more fun. Though harder to work with. I keep trying to get into Flatland so I could maybe read Sphereland later and try to get a better sense of it.
Course I've been thinking about dimensions for years. I might've been a physics major if all the other things I had to do for physics weren't so mind-numbingly boring.
Though I might like to play 4D Tic-Tac-Toe...though only after I play 3D. ;p You ever see those 4D Rubik's cubes? They're haaaaard.
@Loose I think that as far as the universe cares, "time" is "constant", just because physical laws seldom change.
Well how are you supposed to know if it's constant or relative if your perception of it (Clocks as well) affects how you see it?
I think my dad was talking about abstract time or something.
Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.Key: -Tickled- Hee! X3 Yeah I've seen those things. :o
Lucey: I don't follow. :/
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅI don't really follow either. 9_6
Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.Like how before you look into Schrodinger's box, the cat is both alive and dead?
Wouldn't that mean that time is relative, if from the perspective of any object it is? How can it be considered constant then? Is there some kind of omniscient incorporeal watcher which this thing is based on? I suppose that could work with the concept of God, but now we are veering away from the sciences. :/
Anyway, going for a walk for a bit, be back soon. :3
^ See, now that makes more sense, since that's just a thought experiment to understand quantum superposition. :p

ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅ;p As I remember, that box was more just supposed to be a joke.
But whenever you look at something you're actually seeing it from the past, because the light had to take time to travel to your eyes, then the information had to travel up into your brain.
And as for God, you could just call it the guiding hand of fate. Or scientific laws, meh.
Anyway, later kitten.

I sent some online Christmas gifts and several people wondered if my name was being used by the Herald Bot. I find this highly amusing.
Merry Christmas all (Has a true smile about her) I survived the end of the world, take that fate! Ha

Who needs fate...
It is not an 8.
...
I'll probably get something more random later today @_@"
...
Anyway...
MERRY CHRISTMAS, I guess.
— Does one have to ask for permission to make a new page? Just asking out of curiousity, as my page is becoming a bit full with all the information about my Cave Story mods and thus making it take longer for vandals to find the vandalism folder.

(This post will probably reveal the truth.)Dear TBS: What's the point of you compressing A Christmas Story for time when you're running it on a twenty-four hour marathon?
-blinks- What? That's… completely and utterly stupid
Silly putty is the best Christmas present ever.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I'd rather have spooky putty.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...
Oh you mean the "There is no Fourth Dimension" video? :o Well this is just silly. :/ Fans need to stop being silly.
Also that video doesn't really say anything like that does it? :/
