I don't think you can accidentally cut five people's heads off. A gameboard explanation would have to be that she's insane.

I re-killed all of them.

Indeed, she's the worst guest ever.

[up][up]I was thinking she accidentally killed the first unfortunate person, and then went one with it to cover up. She just being insane seems more plausible, but it is just too easy.

[up]Also: All five people I killed......were very much alive until the moment I killed them

Episode 7's Tea Party is my favorite one. Damn, just... damn.

As someone who hasn't read Umineko, I can say that apparently the only way to stay clean after being spoiled (initially by accident on animesuki in the translation news thread) is reading A TON of Umineko-related stuff with random spoilers here and there, so that you will never, ever remember or even understand just WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ALL ABOUT. Because seriously, it all makes no sense (thankfully), so I imagine when I start reading it, it will somehow gloriously make even less sense until the very end.

As for the Negima relationship chart... what the fuck.

What about the chart? Easier to make than it looks. Though it's probably a bitch to read the thing by this point.

And personally the only spoiler I read regarding Umineko was that there were witches and a possible time loop... which is the premise of the game.

Wow, putting that ring on...

Pretty blatant confirmation for Shannon/Kanon/Beatrice. ...Well, Shannon/Kanon at least.

You know, I don't think this trick can even last long enough to have Kanon take Battler's place in the logic error. ...Unsatisfying, but I suppose I'll accept it.

Yay voiced version of Usan no Kaori in the tea party.

Which trick you are talking about, Arha?

Also, you were really lucky with spoilers. people who played the PS 3 version first were more spoiled by the OP then you. (even the PS 3 version cover is spoiler, you are supposed to see Beatrice as the villain, not the Tragic Heroine)

Voiced Usan no Kaori is awesome. I assume, then, you finished Ep6, right?

The trick about Kanon taking Battler's place shouldn't work.

Because Kanon doesn't exist to let him out nor take his place inside.

Hmm? Kanon "exist". Battler interacted with him several times before. He is also Shannon, so they can't both exist at the same time in the same place, but that is the explanation for how he could exchange places with Battler.

Here how I think it worked: Shannon went of the window (I don't remember well, but I think it was her room that had the seal broken). She then 'changed' to Kanon to follow Erika ('Shannon' is clumsy, while 'Kanon' is good following people from the shadows) who 'saved' Battler. When Erika opened to closet, 'Kanon' was not there, but that doesn't mean there wasn't no one there. 'Kanon' only had to 'change' again to scare Erika.

That would mean she controls her personality shifts at will and thus would be alternate modes of thinking rather than full identities. Is it fair to give them different names then?

Another new character? Oh, and it's Dlanor's boss that was alluded to earlier.

I don't see how changing at will interfere with full identity. She need to get some control or it would have interfere with her jobs. I mean, she is clearly fooling at last a few people. There is no need to 'Kanon' to be presented to Battler as himself and not 'Shannon in male clothes'. (good luck thinking in how Natsuhi and Genji didn't noticed a fake servant wandering around)

Also, technically for my solution there is no need to be 'at will'. There were a 'reason' for each change, so it may as well have been unconsciously.

You have started Ep7, eh? Will is a quite awesome character. I wonder why you are surprised with new character popping around, though. I mean, there have been at last three for each game so far.

I suppose. But it gets tiresome after awhile to keep getting new characters.

Well, Erika is gone so he is not adding to the number. (btw, did you noticed you can 'execute' Erika in the TIPS?)

Well, technically, there is not many new characters this time. Only one, in fact, technically.

I saw. Noticed you could even execute her on the witch side which just makes her disappear.

Hm. Blond Ushiromiya, the son of Krauss and Natsuhi. Beatrice's kid the got pushed off a cliff? Beatrice's kid that got pushed off a cliff. Though this does conflict with my previous idea that that baby was Shannon.

Ah, my post was in reference to the witch side, since it is easier to miss there (as you usually can't 'execute' anyone).

Oh, here the links to the post Ep6 Extra TIPS:

PS:Heh, Lion is a quite mysterious character, isn't it? But the explanation should become obvious soon.

Well, I'm already pretty sure he (let's just go with he for now) is Shannon's brother and the son of ingenue Beatrice. I was thinking for a moment that he might be another Shannon personality but Will was ushered in by Kanon and Kanon shouldn't have had any opportunity to change clothes because Lion should be at the center of attention. Adding to that would be that he's the baby pushed off the cliff. Since it's Bernkastel setting up the game board, that shouldn't be too difficult to arrange.

Time to sit back and wait for that dramatic reveal, I guess.

By the way, is episode 8 the last episode? That would seem to be the case but based on some of what everyone here has been saying you're not really sure of how the story ends either That may be simply because the english patch isn't finished, though.

You know, Shannon should probably actually be flat chested, no? Breast binding is probably something that couldn't be kept up all the time like that. So that made me think of the first episode with Battler going up to grope Shannon, not being stopped and her breasts falling off. Hurray for mental images!

Ep8 is the last Episode, yeah. But the English patch is not finished. The one you have is probably the half patched Episode. Halfway in the story it will just shut down and kick you back to the menu. I haven't read even the 50% patch, myself.

I also believe Shannon must be flat chested. In fact, I've seem theories that the reason Shannon didn't react in the first Episode was because she thought had seem through her 'disguise'.

Where you are right now, incidentally?

Arha Since: Jan, 2010

Shannon is revealing that she has no idea what's going on and has no idea who Lion is.

Yeah. You said this chapter is pretty short, right? I don't have as much time to read today but starting tomorrow I won't have access to my computer for up to a week.

Heatth from Brasil Since: Jul, 2009 Relationship Status: In Spades with myself
#1348: Aug 18th 2011 at 5:40:06 PM

Well, it felt "really short" to me, since I read it in two parts (starting with the 50% patch). At any rate, someone mesured each chapter by how many bytes they have (each character has one byte), and Ep7 is the shortest. But the difference is not that big. In an approximation, Ep7 would have 420 pages while Ep6 had 460 (the next shortest Episode, Ep2, had 430).

I believe you read all Ep6 yesterday, right? If so, you should be able to finish Ep7 today, if your reading time was the same.

If you feel you won't have time, there is a solution for not facing a cliffhanger for a whole week. Ep7 has, more or less, 3 distinct story-lines (two in the main story and one in the Tea Party). Their cut points are quite obvious, so if you are running out of time, you may stop there.

Episode 7 may be short, but it has the longest and possibly the best Tea Party since Episode 4.

Don't you remember what Featherine said?

If someone creates a personality, and everyone treats them like a separate person, they might as well be different people.

Kanon exists because people acknowledge he exists. It is, in a sense, Shannon and Kanon's "magic."
