From what I've seen the characters of Touhou are beginning to change. Chief among them is Eirin, who seems to have fully realised how vulnerable her kind is to the powers brought onto her world. Further, and perhaps most importantly, she realises that change is inevitable within herself, and on Gensokyo.
Yes, that was a scary bit of Character Development.
There's a good reason for her being so much more emotional now, however. As it is only her soul that now inhabits the Rubric Marine, much of her cold rationalism is left in her body with the sentient Gakoro. Which is the same reason Gakoro is so cold and impassive, because it only observes the facts and acts accordingly.
...I suppose I should explain Gakoro, though. Mainly, it's a...personality, a package of memories and sentience that Eirin prepared in case anyone ever stole her soul. She has never tested it before now, however, and it's slowly starting to creep her out...
...oh, and it's nothing Canon. It's just Eirin's medical knowledge ramped Up To Eleven, with a bit of word-play concerning her name.

When in deadly danger, When beset by doubt, Run in little circles, Wave your arms and shout.Don't forget the Necrons. They're responsible for destroying a quarter(roughly) of the plant life: The Snow-Covered Forest is nothing but the petrified husks of dead trees and ice; The Human Village is even worse, converted into a lifeless forward base for their ghoulish efforts. They've set up several of their buildings there, now.
I'm still wondering what I should do to poor Patchouli Knowledge: Should I have her corrupted by Chaos, brought to her Library by the dead Khornates? Sealed within her library, terrified by something utterly beyond her formidable database? Frantically trying to find something to make the Orkz go away, and failing?

I'm thinking of having the Swarmlord speak. Think of the conversation possibilities!
I'm thinking of having its voice sound like Zophar's from Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete.
To be seen, stand up To be heard, speak up To be appreciated, shut up^^ I'd go with B) Sealed herself in the Library.

To be seen, stand up To be heard, speak up To be appreciated, shut upB or C. Leaning toward C. But then again, I have never been a major fan of Touhou.
Locking you up on radar since '09I say B. Also, though I have actually played the games quite a bit, I only have cursory knowledge of the Touhou characters and setting.
When in deadly danger, When beset by doubt, Run in little circles, Wave your arms and shout.B or C, I say.
So, Lemurian brought this up to me last night—do you think that the thread should be moved from Forum Games to the Roleplaying Section?
The Danse Macabre CodexIt probably should, seeing how things have grown a little more serious lately.
When in deadly danger, When beset by doubt, Run in little circles, Wave your arms and shout.^I am still working out how to fit Indrick Boreale, his speech, and Kharn's "swellness" into this.
Locking you up on radar since '09YOU MUST BRING IN BOREALE. The potential lulz to be had from the other characters ridiculing him is endless. You could always have him use his beloved STEEL REHN tactic.
When in deadly danger, When beset by doubt, Run in little circles, Wave your arms and shout.Yes. THEY ARE REDDEH TAH DEEP STRIKE INTAH ENEMEH TERREHTOREH.

The Danse Macabre CodexOkay, bringing him in with the Blood Ravens now. This is too freakin' good to be missed. Where should he end up?
Locking you up on radar since '09Very good question...what's left that hasn't been completely destroyed?
The Danse Macabre CodexWell, I was more thinking "where would result in maximum hilarity but would actually make sense for him to land".
Locking you up on radar since '09Scarlet Devil Mansion, maybe?
The Danse Macabre CodexInspirational flashback to the rescue!
Obviously, he should land in the Misty Lake.

Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! You know, I just can't get Kharn to work as well as I'd hoped. If anybody wants to take him, please do so, I'll keep to the Baneblade and the Orks.
Does anyone have any objections?
My next next post will see Indrick planetside, so be quick. The Scarlet Devil Mansion is infested with Tyranids and Orks, right?
Also, I swear we need to bring Vance Motherfucking Stubbs into this at some point. As well as the tactical geniu-
CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!
EDIT: Misty Lake? Can you describe it?

Locking you up on radar since '09Large body of freshwater, quite cold due to the fairies living there, close to the Scarlet Devil Mansion.
And Eirin is turning hammy as well. The invaders are a bad influence.
