| DA Page | Sketchbook |T_T I wanted to go so~~~~~~ badly, but the Rally ruined the Metro! T_T That was my main way to get around the city! My beloved Metro! T_T
Hah, yeah, it was like a can of sardines in the Metro, and it wasn't much better at the rally itself. The conductor of the train I was on was complaining over the PA about how stupid it was that they didn't prepare for it. Worth it, though, 'cause the rally was a lot of fun.
Favorite signs from the rally:
- Don't Panic
- Fear is the mind-killer
- The Founding Fathers Had A Complex and Often Ambiguous Agenda
- Chill, Baby, Chill
- THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS SIGN IS VERY CLEVER
- Repeal Rule 34
- ALL CAPITAL LETTERS MEANS I'M SERIOUS
- Having a SIGN makes me RIGHT
But it wasn't worth it if you didn't even get to go to the rally. *depressed* I tried to charge aboard six different trains. Couldn't get on any of them. At Tenleytown! That's not even a crowded stop. All the big stops are closer to the center of the city!
I'm glad I didn't go! Like, 2/3rds of it was musical numbers. I dislike those as a rule of thumb.
Stewarts singing was So Bad, It's Good though.
They opened with about 45-50 minutes of music, which set me up to expect a terribly disappointing program.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI was going to go, but when I got to the metro the line was so damn long I just turned around and went back to my place to watch the webcast (I'm close to DC).
Overall, it was good, though I think that they should have gotten some better musical guests. It's not that they were BAD, just not my bag (though Ozzy and Yusuf Islam totally need to release a collab album). I liked the message though and I was all for it from day 1.

I enjoyed Peace Train vs. Crazy Train. That was about the only musical act I didn't skip.
Fresh-eyed movie blogIs it safe to label this as a massive Xanatos Gambit against the media?
i will immediately pay you with cash in full at whatistheexcel.comYeah. Way too much music, not enough satire. Stewart's speech at the end was pretty epic but, honestly, nothing we haven't all already heard before.
I thought it was kind of disappointing really. I don't think I laughed at any of the jokes, musical numbers were hit or miss, and Jon and Stephen's acting ability were not up to par. The speech at the end was awesome.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.
