He's not vulgar at first. He starts off as a more "Oh well your beauty was blinding me! Were you sculpted out of perfect marble?" at first.

Meh, I've got an aversion (as in, a mild dislike of, not a... uh... not-playing-straight-of?) to Beware the Nice Ones because of all the times people try to act tough by tropedropping it, same with Berserk Button and Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass. They all can be done well, but I honestly have yet to see it.

Meanwhile, I'll be engaging in preparing the Chandler's Law of this RP.

Well, that's how characters are. The more they're fleshed out, the more they become stand-alone entities. You can shape things all you like but eventually things will go their own way.

No no no. He's not that dumb. He may flirt while fighting but he'll still fill them full of rockets while doing so.

@Hydrall: I think it's rarely even played seriously in fiction as the focal trope, it's usually more a side effect. In essence it's The Nice Guy murders/beats the crap out of/does something scary to a jerk, which unless done well plays out like an asspull. Usually it's played well, either through Audacity/Parody, Revealing a Stepford Smiler or a Long painful game of break the cutie. There are times where it's a beserk button but in most of those cases it is either Parody or it's poorly done and the character looks like a murderous stepford smiler. Over all the trope seems more like a catch all for a general situation that can be caused by any one of several tropes without having much purpose as trope on its own. [/rant]

@Sat: Earl was originally conceived of as a stuffy old Duo, who loved tea and dueling and the proper way of doing things. That is now Earl's Grandfather. Over all though, he's fairly close to what is conceived on the sign up sheet, save that MORE DAKKA sort of conceals his more strategic side.

I never took chemistry.

I'd be perfectly happy with either Lorroxy or Floxy. They both appeal to me about equally.

Hobbes was originally supposed to be the big, quiet guy who kept a protective eye on his teammates in battle and specialized in stealth kills :P.

How things have changed. >_<
