Goofus screws around during group work time, borrows the only copy of notes and disappears, adds nothing to those notes except for scrawled obscenities, and then sits there (smelling strongly of cigarette smoke) eating raw carrots during the presentation. Yes, this Goofus is someone I actually had to work with on a group project back in high school.
Gallant doesn't always know the right thing to say when his friends are hurting, but he tries to lend a sympathetic ear anyway.
