Song from Reol's first album.
She looks like v flower.
So Porter Robinson, who had a minor hit featuring Avanna, is apparently expanding his Vocaloid library, as evidenced by this picture from his Snapchat.
Guy who did this.
I know him
Who's he holding?
Miku and Luka.
Looks like he's going mainly for English-speaking Vocaloids, since the V3 Miku he's holding is the one that comes bundled with V3 Miku English. I wonder if there are any others he's interested in.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Well Gumi also has an English voicebank. And then there are purely English vocaloids like Avanna (Yes I'm a little confused. Did he use Avanna or IA for Sad Machine?).
So I stumbled on this absurd song on YouTube... It's kinda old (three months-ish ago) but it's really funny, especially its backstory. Like the disclaimer says, it isn't meant to be taken seriously but it still comes off as rather catchy.
Finally learned to embed. Gaah.

The Artifact. Is currently Lazy Hazy.even Michael Jackson™
There's 2 new English vocaloids coming out soon this year!
They're finally looking anime.
Still can't too easily understand them. Their voices get swallowed under the first few songs...
But they look and sound pretty nice.

Those second and third songs go in.
They look really foxy.
And in other news, Miki and Iroha were released for V4 three days ago.
The Artifact. Is currently Lazy Hazy.A song for Hansel.
I'm not as crazy about the series as I used to be, but I still want to see Master of the Heavenly Yard. I hate leaving things unfinished.
And some more Bang Bang.
Vocaloids are breathier and UTAU's are more metallic, but I like the contrast.
BTW, the Bemani x EDM thing has passed and the album is out, that means that there are three songs with long versions. Two of which are sung by Gumi, the third...well you'll know when you see the name

Shoot...IA was going to be in Anime Expo...I could have seen her...
...not IA...;p
Ruby, a new Engloid, has had her design revealed at Anime Expo; but there's been some controversy surrounding it. The developer was promised complete creative freedom with the design, and worked for a year with Natasha Allegri (creator of Bee and Puppycat). Both developer and voice provider were very happy with the final design.
However, Power FX (the company supporting Ruby) wasn't satisfied with the design, and went behind the developer's back to create a new illustration without his input. The developer didn't know about this until the design was revealed. The voice provider went to do an interview in LA and was also completed blindsided by the unexpected design change. Many people are criticising Power FX for unethical practices.
You can see the design Power FX produced here: http://vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/Ruby
Hopefully we'll see Natasha's work in the future too.

“Five exclamation marks, the sure sign of an insane mind.” TPI think that's what happened with Lui Hibiki and Ring Suzune. Which might be why they were never released...
Hm, well her new design is cool, but I remember seeing another that I preferred.

That AX design could make a blind man flinch.
So since I posted the Ruby situation has escalated...and escalated...and escalated into the biggest storm of drama I've had the dubious pleasure of being a part of.
But at least there's a lot of art that's come out of it. (People have been drawing the developer's design in protest.)

Some UTAU's go Bang Bang.
I like Meiji. She's got such a nice twang to her voice.
