Team Fortress 2

He was with Tagg playing on the budsquad again just a few days ago.

I'm getting a bug where trying to play a quick game shows it finding all the servers as usual, but even if it finds over a thousand, it says "There were no servers matching your search criteria". If I try to use the "Show Servers" option, it just gives me a featureless error message. This happened to anyone else?

I've had that. IIRC it has something to do with the server search overloading your internet. Do you have an older or limited router by chance?

That might have something to do with it. Gonna try the old restart method before starting to wail in woe.

Heh, an entire server (and many more I imagine) came to a screeching halt when the news of a deleted golden pan was broadcasted across the game. The insults directed to said person who deleted it were certainly creative, to say the least.

For a lark I played a few rounds of the console version of TF 2.

The difference is very noticeable.

Yeah, the Soldier had 40 rockets, Heavy's move at an even slower pace, the Pyro is useless, and Engineer nests reign supreme on the skybox.

Glad I made the switch, I remember when all me and my buds could play was 2Fort because nobody would really host anything else other than the occasional Dustbowl game. Seeing Well and Hydro was near impossible to find.

Granted, it's still all but impossible to find people on Hydro, but still.

And rocket jumping is impossible.

Oh you could rocket jump, but you'd really only use it to get to the sniper nest of 2fort and nothing more. Maybe use it to jump straight up to blow someone up with style.

Is the cow mangler better than the black box, or should I stick with the black box?

Black Box, no contest.

Ok. I'm gonna ask here for advice on crafting, because last time I tried it, I made horrible choices.

Which items should be the #1 for me to crafT?

I'm not the first to say this, but the default Rocket Launcher is your best general purpose weapon for the Soldier.

I actually really want a Black Box though, I think my buddy might trade me one as per his "Welcome to Team Fortress 2 again, man" thing he's doing with me. Getting a Festive Backburner today, which'll really compliment my ambush style that my Pyro style is focused on.

I've heard about the default launcher.

Depends on your class. For me, the most used items go something like:

• Scout: Mad Milk, Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol, Atomizer, Baby Face's Blaster.
• Soldier: Black Box, Gunboats, Beggar's Bazooka, Escape Plan and Concheror.
• Pyro: Degreaser, Powerjack, Flare Gun, Reserve Shooter. Phlog if you're feeling mean.
• Demoman: Everything, really. Maybe prioritize the Loch n Load and Chargin' Targe.
• Heavy: Sandvich and GRU.
• Engineer: Gunslinger, Wrangler, Frontier Justice, Widowmaker.
• Medic: Crusader's Crossbow, Blutsauger, Kritzkrieg, Ubersaw.
• Sniper, Spy: Whatever.
  
  Those are the items I'd prioritize crafting. And if you have a Direct Hit, you can craft a Black Box with it and one reclaimed metal.

I personally prefer the default Syringe Gun though, great for backpedaling and firing to get rid of charging Scouts/Pyros. The Syringe Gun is very power with it's high firerate and if you can connect all the needles.

I think the first thing I'll do with a name tag I'll get is rename my Medigun "Obama Care".

Which reminds me, I still have a name and description tag left over from smissmas stockings.

What should I call my strange festive backburner?

Is there a difference between the reinforced crossbow and the normal one?

I hear the Crossbow's hitbox is insane.
