That is a much better one that the tiny one that's there now.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThe film poster for American Psycho does a better job of fitting the description word-for-word, but yeah.
I think the Hulk/Wolverine example is great, but the trope's definition needs to be expanded to include the reflection of other characters as well. The examples already reflect this fact.
The American Psycho poster's a great example also...either one would be fine as a replacement image. I also put in a note about Rhatahema's point for the trope usage.

^^To be fair, examples are not what's supposed to define a trope, but I don't see why we shouldn't broaden this trope's scope in that way; it seems like a logical extension.

Or possibly the box art:
I have a message from another time...
The first Mulan pic is alright; not so much for the second. The cover art is screwed up; there shouldn't be a reflection at all from that angle.
I actually like neo YT's 2nd Mulan picture. The first one I can't make out what's being reflected. And I agree that the box art doesn't work; it looks more like the blade is transparent.
Reaction Image RepositoryOK yeah.
Can we still use that caption if we do a Mulan picture, though?
I have a message from another time...^From this batch, the second picture is the best.
Agreed; the second pic is the best of those. We should probably start a crowner soon.
i could've sworn there was a Rurouni Kenshin image like this... can't find it now, though. maybe i just imagined it.
anyway, my vote goes to the American Psycho poster. it represents the description perfectly, and it's Christian Bale.
No, I can't even tell at first glance that she's even holding up a sword... or that it's even a reflection to begin with, for that matter.
When I first saw that picture, I thought Mulan was standing behind DRAPED CURTAINS CASTING A SHADOW ON HER FACE!

... didn't occur to me. Ok, let's keep looking.
First one doesn't seem to work, and the second one fails physics forever. I'd say go with the 3rd one.
Can't see the first one. I really like the third one.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Fixed link on first picture.
Hulk is good. I think I still like the third one a little better.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.You mean you like it "a little more." I'll agree though, the third picture has a certain quality to it, but I mean that in a good way.
The third picture is good - depending on how good it looks when shrunk. I am worried it might become too cluttered to make out. Otherwise, the 2nd picture is a perfectly sized alternative.
The current image illustrates the trope, but is a little too small to be effective. If a bigger version of the same pic can't be found, the classic cover◊ of Incredible Hulk #340 is a good option for a replacement.
