Is it safe to say this is why intelligence can be a good thing?
...Don't ask me how, but I think I have an idea about what Seiteki was saying. Not sure why it is "a problem with smart people" though. Here is the translation:
Evidence:I am smart but have been trying, and failing, to write/draw a manga for years.
At least this is what I understand from the comment. It actually made less sense the more I thought about it and as I was writing that.

Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!I would disagree with that a little bit: I would argue that people with talent effectively had a head start on people with skill.
Thats pretty much it belian. I was to sleepy to word it any better.
____________ Seiteki Heiko-Translated to-Static equilibrium-meaning two equal forces going in opposing directionsI agree with Gilphon here. And hard work trumps both of those.
Also, I think intelligence is importance, because it allows to present yourself in certain ways, and give the right impression. For instance- the wrong grammar can negatively impact some people's impression of you.
Or maybe that is just me.
New User HandleBut an intelligent person wouldn't care about his or her impressions on others nor change their career choice just to prove they are better than someone else. That simply makes them conformist for needing the approval of others.
Skill takes hardwork so how can hardwork trump itself. Though this is not true with talent but even with talent, work is still needed to be successful. Talent or Skill the work you put in will always be a major factor.

____________ Seiteki Heiko-Translated to-Static equilibrium-meaning two equal forces going in opposing directionsHumans evolved to be a social group. There is nothing wrong with conformity. It's what makes society society. It's what makes it so no one kills each other on a whim, and you have friends. Complete conformity would be bad, but there is nothing inherently wrong with conformity.
People just assume there is because of the stereotypes that come from it.
After all, I like TV Tropes a lot, and I would not want to go, spewing flames and personal attacks at every point because I did not care about the impression I would leave. That would be stupid, not to mention get me permabanned. That's a type of conformity.

New User HandleBeing intelligent doesn't mean one cares less about others' approval. A person can be a genius and still crave validation from others, or be a maverick and an idiot. The qualities may be correlated, but I wouldn't even go that far with the evidence available to me.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back. And anyway, I wouldn't describe 'wanting to prove you're better than someone' as conformist. One could argue that it's selfish and prideful, but I don't see it as 'conformist'.
Its all a matter of opinion I guess.
Changing ones opinion to fit in with others seems idiotic to me some might not feel that way.
If I were to change that to fit your opionion is what I mean by conformist, when I said changing career to prove you are better I mean't that was unintelligent a frankly stupid.
I don't really classify society as evolving more so devolving. If there were no society there would be no large scale wars or rasicm or any other stupidity that came with it.

____________ Seiteki Heiko-Translated to-Static equilibrium-meaning two equal forces going in opposing directionsInstead we'd have a billion small scale wars and provincialism to replace them.

Clarste is right. Anarchism is a rather stupid way out.
Racism would still exist. So would many bad things. People have a tendency to react negatively to unfamiliar stimulation. It makes sense, when you think about. People that embrace the unknown just die of mushroom poisoning later on.
Also, I said making a good impression, not conforming to any opinion. You're the one that brought up conformity.
New User HandleNot even going bother to answer that one because I don't think one monkey fighting another is war. ________
But whats this got to do bakuman anymore. It was a simple comment.

____________ Seiteki Heiko-Translated to-Static equilibrium-meaning two equal forces going in opposing directionsWell, we have nothing better to debate.
Also, where in the world are you getting your assumptions? You seem to be reading our statements and getting wildly out of this world conclusions of what we are saying.
New User HandleHe said we would have a billion small scale wars he either meant that or doestn't know what by no society I mean acting like normal animals.
Wait nothing else what the chapter of bakuman

____________ Seiteki Heiko-Translated to-Static equilibrium-meaning two equal forces going in opposing directionsAnimals fight each other too you know. You seriously want us to de-evolve? Lawl. You realize that such a concept does not exist right? Ok. Have fun with that.

New User HandleNo I mean't if we had never evolved(or so its called). I am pretty sure people are used to war its not normal for earth to be in peace even though at the bottum of the oceans there is ground litterally connecting all continent.
____________ Seiteki Heiko-Translated to-Static equilibrium-meaning two equal forces going in opposing directions...and we'd also know nothing and be led entirely by instinct. Plus, you clearly know nothing about ants.

New User HandleBut again this is just how I think so can this end here.
____________ Seiteki Heiko-Translated to-Static equilibrium-meaning two equal forces going in opposing directions...Killjoy.
New User HandleJoy it seems more like anger.
No I wasn't angry seemed like everyone else was whenever they replied.

____________ Seiteki Heiko-Translated to-Static equilibrium-meaning two equal forces going in opposing directionsYou got angry? Yeesh. It's the internet man. Gotta relax.
New User HandleApes fight wars.
And I guess I'm not sure what you mean be "no society" because it seems to me that most animals are either social or have instinctive territorial rules that they follow like social laws.
...Dammit Clarste. I thought you were the other guy and was about to quotebomb his ass. Thanks a lot.
