The Beastie Boys are my favourite band but "Girls" and "Don't Play No Games Like That" ARE SOME OF THE WORST PIECES OF SHIT I HAVE EVER HAD THE DIS-PLEASURE OF HEARING

I like the Beasties, but Licensed to Ill is not a good record at all. Even the band hates it.

I like most Lady Gaga songs- if for the catchiness alone- but i think Judas is just terrible.

I actually like that one, unlike what a lot of others think of the song. I dislike "Poker Face," "Paparazzi," "Dance in the Dark," "Alejandro," "The Edge of Glory," and "Hair" though.

I don't exactly hate it, but "The Island" is definitely not one of my favourite Pendulum songs...

Radiohead - Creep

There's a reason that Pablo Honey has a lot of hatedom. It's because this is the only song by Radiohead most people know, despite the brilliance of their other work (OK Computer, Kid A, The Bends)

"Uprising" by Muse. It's a great song, but it's extremely overplayed. What the radio / TV stations don't realize is that there are other Muse songs besides "Uprising". Muse is not a one-hit wonder, so stop treating it like one.

Mostly because of the presence of the Party Fun Action Committee, who I despise.

I'm a huge fan of BNL but Another Postcard just has a sound that I can't like. And it's a lot simpler than most of their stuff.

Not so much a song I hate as a version that disappoints me: The Angels Of Light version of "Not Alone", which was originally performed by their band-leader's previous group (you may know this one) on their final tour. I love Angels Of Light to death, but seriously, the studio version of that song is... well, boring, at least compared to THIS:

It's still not one of my favorites, but I came to like "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" just a tiny bit more when I found out that 1) It's sort of one of the earliest major cases of a rock band attempting something influenced by ska or reggae, and 2) if you listen carefully you can hear John and George briefly MSTing the song - "Molly lets the children lend a hand" is followed by "Arm!" and "Leg!". And of course the "Desmond stays at home and does his pretty face" thing is kinda funny. It is pretty corny overall, but it's probably not even the worst White Album song.

No sir, that would be "Wild Honey Pie", A.K.A. Paul Mc Cartney saying "Hey! Hey look, guys! I know how to overdub stuff!"

Candid Telling You is the only IOSYS-song that I absolutely refuse to have on my iPod. Far too repetitive and cutesy, even for them.

I guess I'll throw a few things out. I love Led Zeppelin, but I find "Hats off to Roy Harper" to be rather difficult to listen to. As a few other Queen fans have said, "White Man" and "Don't Try Suicide" are way below their usual quality, and "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" aren't nearly good enough to justify the level of radio airplay they get. The Beatles have also produced some stuff that I don't really like, such as Bungalow Bill. I also find most songs on The Who's first two albums to be rather boring. As for the other bands I listen to, particularly those that aren't classic rock, I haven't been into them long enough to find the songs I don't like.

One person mentioned Lady Gaga's "Judas", and I'm inclined to agree. It really just seems like a rewritten version of "Bad Romance" (a song I actually love, but one I don't really like being hastily given very meh new lyrics and slightly different instrumentation). Someone else mentioned "Hair", which I don't think is her best but is just cheesy enough to be enjoyable.

Oh, and I like Bruno Mars (even if he has been getting on my nerves lately), but "The Lazy Song" is crap. And the whistling in it is exactly the same tune as the most famous part of 'Linus and Lucy'.

Out of My Head by Lupe Fiasco. errrrk. I hold contempt for half of the album as it is, but that song in particular grates me.

What he said.

Gorillaz are probably my favorite musical act/astoundingly complex art project ever, but I could fill an entire thread with songs by them that belong here.

Here's a short list off the top of my head... Man Research (Clapper), Slow Country, Bill Murray, those 2 Clint Eastwood remixes they had as bonus tracks on the first album, The Swagga, People, Ghost Train, and probably more than half of The Fall.

Also, I liked the song, but Superfast Jellyfish's video was unbelievably dumb, and not in the good way.

Some others:

  • Primus - The Air is Getting Slippery, Bob's Party Time Lounge (studio version), and too much of Les Claypool's solo/side project work to get into. (A lot of it is great, though.)
  • Nthing Radiohead's Creep (Homeless Mustard's cover was pretty great, though.)
  • Almost everything Kool Keith's done after 2000.
  • Seconding Justice's Tthhee Ppaarrttyy. I disliked DVNO too, but not nearly as much.
