@Adric: It looked like Terezi Minded her way to a universe where Dirk wasn't shot to death, and Dave somehow rewound Dirk or pasted the timelines together so that the shooting never happened.

Yeah, I figured it was something like that. I just wasn't sure of the exact method they used. I feel like saving Dirk from losing his head is going to be a bit more of a process though.

Also, does anybody know what the deal was with Serenity? The fact that a space symbol looked like it appeared inside of her light while alt!Calliope was at the Green Sun implies that she's linked to Calliope somehow, but I'm at a loss for any theories as to how they're connected.

That's a really good question, and I'm sure we'll see a lot more of Serenity in the next week. Still, we can see that she's not Calli (at least not the way it was thought), so the Space symbol is as of yet unexplained.

@Moth: Yes, I think he did. Maybe. I know Jane made a healing pass through the Condy battle, at least.

I don't think that Jane's dead. She was probably just knocked out to raise the stakes by taking out the healer.

@Optimus: I don't think they can. The idea seems to be using Mind to find a more ideal way for a fight to have gone and then using Time to switch to that timeline. It wouldn't just bring Dirk back to life, it would have prevented the circumstances where he died. Possibly, Dirk's sacrifice was the best way to end the fight. Hence why Dave evacuated the area with Dirk and Terezi and Dirk instead of finding a different timeline.

More assets and more explanation for Eridan and Shrek.

IIRC, Calllope used Serenity (under the name Twinkly Herbert) to communicate with Roxy in a dreambubble.

That Serenity/WV reunion was long overdue. Long overdue.

Hopefully we'll get the PM/WV reunion soon, too!

Also, on the note of PM, did anyone else notice that, when she took the Ring, what was prominent in the background was The Forge?

Well, now they do have A Black Royal's ring to melt in the Forge and ignite it, even if PM keeps her own White Queen's Ring.

Bec Noir isn't really a thing any more though.

The Jacks all fight really differently. Bec Noir focuses entirely on matching PM- he's not afraid to attack her, but it's all pretty retaliatory and he doesn't try to do anything other than fight her. Spades Slick is more garden-variety Jack; brutality in short contained bursts, with a fair amount of waiting for the right moment. Jack English is just completely berserk, constantly throwing out wild attacks in all directions, frequently not bothering to aim in even the right general direction to hit anyone.

But what makes Jack English's behaviour interesting to me is that's not how LE fights- his attacks, though wild and anger-fueled, always have purpose; always have a clear target. So while Jack English's expressions are much more LE than Jack, his behavior is neither; he's just a raging beast.

Well, Bec Noir's behavior makes sense; he's been in love with her for a while now. He really isn't interested in fighting her. He is, however, interested in staying alive and maybe asking her on a date.

On rewatch I didn't notice any ghost Araneas in that army, which is weird. She doesn't have a disincentive to fight LE the way Kurloz and Damara do. Unless they all somehow feel the shame of their prime counterpart. Or, she was like the only Aranea left which would be strange.
